Say a Prayer

Just got word that a girl I went to high school has been hit with cancer...again. This is like her 3rd time. Please pray. Thanks.

Sad, that cancer is such a mean animal. Keeping your friend in prayer.

Praying for all those on the upper east coast with all the weather issues.

Hugs, n kisses.

Just sending a warm, comforting hug to BCJ4 today, his Mom passed also, and she'll be going to the happy place of peace and rest today. My prayers and good wishes are with you, my friend, as you celebrate her memory, and keep close to your heart all the moments you shared. Please try to be strong, knowing she's now your Guardian Angel

Your'e all in my prayers.

I work in a hospital and help with families going through difficult times. Today, a family lost their mom and wife. She has been fighting cancer for 18 years. Off and on that battle has been raging. Today she got her ultimate healing. I watched as her teenage daughter kiss and caress her mom's face and had to say goodbye to her mom.
It was a very tough time for all. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I can understand I work at a hospital and deal sadly with the same death and dying on a daily basis. I work in Health Care in Social Services, so indeed I get very frustrated that there is not much we can do, but just extend our heart to the grieving and chronically ill and assure them we can do what we can to be supportive.

The toughest thing for me to do was do a social security disability application on a young man in his twenties and telling me do what you can to help my mom and sister when I pass on.. and I assured him I would.

And seeing a homeless man with a terminal brain injury, and having no one to visit him in his final days.. heartbreaking.

We are indeed special people. Prayers for that family and all of us, we all need them.

Friends,

Angy :rose:

A close friend from here just found out his mom has lung cancer. She needs prayers for comfort as does he and his family. Please!

Definite prayers.

I remind everyone that even though we sometimes just see words here, we are people too, with feelings, and others in our life.. and that we need to always keep that in mind.

Sincere prayers and friendship here.

Wish we had a candle icon...

I think that one of the hardest things to do in contemporary healthcare is to find the time to be present and emotionally available. The awful part about this is that we can not be fulfilled as healthcare workers without the human connection that comes from being present and available. In the absence of an authentic relationship, the work loses meaning.
Thank you for providing a place for people to reflect on the moment, express compassion and gratitude, and illuminate caring.

Thank you all for posting and the thoughts, prayers and kind words you are sharing. Sometimes, just a caring word will mean the world to someone.

My daughter is having lab work on Tuesday when she sees her endocrinologist for her hypoparathyroidism.

She also has her mri that evening for her tethered spinal cord.

Waiting to hear back from her urologist on the x-rays and procedures he wants performed.

Then follow-up appointments with her neurosurgeon and her surgeon.

Prayers please that things go smoothly for her and we get good results.

Thank you. :rose:

On a good note, she has gained two more pounds and is almost at 60. :)
