She's scheduled for her second open heart surgery tomorrow. She had the first one at birth, she's six months old now and has this one and one more to go.

Thanks!

Best of luck to her, as well as to her/your family. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all. :)

That is so sad...

I will definately say a prayer for her as well as your family.
I hope all goes well.

Thanks! She's a little fighter. She was born with Shone's syndrome, a malformation of the upper left part of her heart. She's scheduled for three surgeries, first was right after birth, the second tomorrow, the third when she's about four. Hopefully medical technology will progress, because her life expectancy is only about fifteen years at best.

awww im so sad for you and i will be saying prays ... but dont always believe what medical staff say ... there is always hope ... my mother was told she never would walk again after she fell out of an attic window when she was 6 ... and she did and does 100% normal ... she was also told she wouldnt have children after she had a miscarriage and lucky enough she did ... and im the proof of that

so there is always hope

Fingers crossed that all goes well, and that everyone in your family has the strength they need to cope with it. :rose:

Strong and positive thoughts headed your way and a special prayer and wish for the little one. She seems like quite a little fighter.

Praying for healing blessings to find your sweet grand-daughter.:rose:

Sending hugs and well wishes for your Grand Daughter :) :rose:

Thanks everyone, it's truly appreciated. I won't be around tomorrow, we'll be at the hospital, but I'll let you know how it goes!

Me too

I pray that all goes well, for all of you.

Hugs and Kisses.

Thanks to everyone who responded!! It's very much appreciated!

The surgery lasted for about five hours on Friday! It went very well. She was transfered from the ICU and put into the stepdown unit yesterday. Most of the tubes and wires have been removed. They took here off morphine yesterday, so she was awake, though, very groggy yesterday afternoon. Again, thanks everybody!

I think it helped!:) :)

Glad to hear the good news, plastic - I hope she continues to improve, and that you are all coping with the strain.
