I saw Mary in an intimate concert with just her piano a few years ago. She tells powerful stories.

I like that. ;) Celebrities. women in powerful positions speaking..

Gabourey Sidibe-

"One day I decided that I was beautiful and so I carried out my life as if I was a beautiful girl. It doesn't have anything to do with how the world perceives you. What matters is what you see"

Amy Schumer-

"I am not going to apologize for who I am and I am actually going to love this skin I'm in. Not strive for some other version of myself"

Emma Stone-

"My great hope is for us as young women to start being kinder to ourselves so that we can be kinder to each other. To stop shaming ourselves and other people for the things we don't know the full story on. Whether someone is too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall, too loud, too quiet, too anything. There's a sense that we're all "too" something, ad we're all not enough"

Kesha-

"I embrace the imperfections and celebrate them"

Meghan Trainor-

"Any body type is beautiful. It's all about loving what you got and rocking it!"

Jennifer Love Hewitt-

"I've learned that if you're too skinny, they'll say something about it. If you are not skinny enough, they'll say something about it. So I just try to feel good in my own skin as much as I can"

Alicia Keyes-

"Females are the most beautiful gorgeous creatures in the whole world and I think we are gorgeous no matter what size we are"

Kristen Bell-

"I am not a woman who's self worth comes from her dress size"

Amber Riley-

"I am not going to conform and hurt myself and do something crazy just to be a size 2"

Adele-

"I think no matter what you look like, they key is to first of all be happy with yourself. And then you know if you want to try and improve things that you don't like about yourself, then do it after you appreciate yourself.

Serena Williams-

"My smile is my favorite part of my body. I think a smile can make your whole body. I want women to know that it's okay. You can be whatever size you are and be beautiful inside and out"

Tyra Banks-

"Girls of all kinds can be beautiful. From the think, plus sized, short, very tall, ebony to porcelain-skinned; the quirky, clumsy, shy, outgoing and all in between. It's not easy though because many people still put beauty into a confining, narrow box. Think outside the box. Pledge that you will look in the mirror and find the unique beauty in you"

Christina Aguilera-

"I've been through my highs; Iv'e been through my lows; I've been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too think. Being bigger. I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. I block it out automatically. I love my body"

Rihanna-

"Being a size zero is a career in itself. So we wouldn't try to be like them. It's not realistic and it's not healthy"

Oprah Winfrey-

"The next time you look in the mirror, try to let go of the story line that says you are too fat, or too sallow, too ashy, or too old, your eyes are too small or your nose is too big. Just look into the mirror and see your face. When the criticism drops away, what you will see then is just you. Without judgement. That is the first step towards transforming your experience of the world"

Rebel Wilson-

"I don't really care what I look like that much. I think women out there should just be happy with how they look and they shouldn't really try to conform to any stereotype. Just be happy and hopefully healthy"

Lady Gaga-

"I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do, I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you."

Demi Lovato-

"Learning to be grateful for our bodies and taking care of them are the best ways for us to empower ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually"

Beautiful! Yes, the key is being happy with yourself. No one else matters more.

That's some great stuff Sassy. Very powerful. I love the image it ought to be used every time a troll posts some crap.

Yeah, I know, it won't work as an anti-troll measure, but ya gotta do something.

Love the image. perfect.

Can’t open the YouTube, it states not available in my country.

Body Love Part 1
Mary Lambert
Know girls who are trying to fit into the social norm
Like squeezing into last year's prom dress
I know girls who are low rise, mac eyeshadow, and binge drinking
I know girls that wonder if they're disaster and sexy enough to fit in
I know girls who are fleeing bombs from the mosques of their skin
Playing Russian roulette with death; it's never easy to accept
That our bodies are fallible and flawed
But when do we draw the line?
When the knife hits the skin?
Isn't it the same thing as purging
Because we're so obsessed with death
Some women just have more guts than others
The funny thing is women like us don't shoot
We swallow pills, still wanting to be beautiful at the morgue
Still proceeding to put on make-up
Still hoping that the mortician finds us fuckable and attractive
We might as well be buried with our shoes
And handbags and scarves, girls
We flirt with death every time we etch a new tally mark
Into our skin
I know how to split my wrists like a battlefield too
But the time has come for us to
Reclaim our bodies
Our bodies deserve more than to be war-torn and collateral
Offering this fuckdom as a pathetic means to say
"I only know how to exist when I'm wanted"
Girls like us are hardly ever wanted you know
We're used up and sad and drunk and
Perpetually waiting by the phone for someone to pick up
And tell us that we did good
You did good
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am
My body is home
My body is home
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am

"Body Love, Pt. 2"

I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am
My body is home
My body is home
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am
I know I am because I said am

Try this
Take your hands over your bumpy love body naked
And remember the first time you touched someone
With the sole purpose of learning all of them
Touch them because the light was pretty on them
And the dust in the sunlight danced the way your heart did
Touch yourself with a purpose
Your body is the most beautiful royal
Fathers and uncles are not claiming your knife anymore
Are not your razor, no
Put the sharpness back
Lay your hands flat and feel the surface of scarred skin
I once touched a tree with charred limbs
The stump was still breathing
But the tops were just ashy remains
I wonder what it's like to come back from that
Because sometimes I feel a forest fire erupting from my wrists
And the smoke signals sent out are the most beautiful things
I've ever seen
Love your body the way your mother loved your baby feet
And brother, arm wrapping shoulders, and remember
This is important
You are worth more than who you fuck
You are worth more than a waistline
You are worth more than beer bottles displayed like drunken artifacts
You are worth more than any naked body could proclaim
In the shadows, more than a man's whim
Or your father's mistake
You are no less valuable as a size 16, than a size 4
You are no less valuable as a 32a than a 36c
Your sexiness is defined by concentric circles within your wood
It is wisdom
You are a goddamn tree stump with leaves sprouting out
Reborn

Thanks Sassy for reproducing the words for me. I eventually realised this morning my VPN had turned itself off. I reset it and using a USA IP address it opened. Having said that without your words I would have struggled to hear it all.

I liked how the video was appropriate to the words Showing not only a size or deformity issue but also not gender specific. I think most people forget that there are also men who feel bad about their bodies.

The words are an excellent description of how some people feel and also how to attempt to overcome their self dislike.

Again thank you for helping me out here. I would have missed so much of it.:kiss::kiss:
