SaintPeter's Hockey Prayer Thread

The Habs are obviously underdogs but that hasn't seemed to bother them so far in the playoffs. I've been messaging with my family in Montreal and the energy is through the (Bell Centre) roof!
 
TSN says Tampa Bay has a 73.68 per cent chance of winning the best-of-seven series....but Montreal has been doubted by oddsmakers all postseason.

Bit of a David/Goliath matchup, hopefully we'll see a good old fashioned 7 game barn-burner!

Nice synopsis...thank you. I went to school there for a couple years, so gotta go Habs all the way too.
 
Cole Caufield. What an amazing player this kid is. He was picked 15th in the draft only because of his size and he is embarrassing the fuck out of the 14 teams that overlooked him.

This kid is going to make a name for himself real quick in the NHL. Hes played more playoff games than regular season and has 4 goals in the playoffs.

I predict 35-40 goal season next year.
 
Vince LeCavalier was on camera last night.

He had that stunned face the post concussed brain injury guys get.

Hopefully it was just a bad camera angle.
 
Tampa has nearly as many Quebec players and local fans as The Habs.

Should have been called the Tampa Poutines.
 
The OQLF does not like the Habs roster and have been whining.
Just for the reasoning behind that, I hope they win.

All one has to do is look at the number of blocked shots. The team that won played hockey. The other didn't. This is not a complicated game. Show your goalie you are willing to take a puck to your body...they will always elevate their game too.

They need to win more defensive zone faceoffs and learn to defend better when they lose them.
I think MTL will lose in 5, they gotta win one. And it is complicated game with an unlimited amount of variables that can win or lose a game.

The Habs have them just where they want them. Let's not give up yet, not during this magical run!
 
As much as anything, this Cup run rests in Habs fans to support the team and the game in a way befitting the oldest, greatest ice hockey club of all time.

I think they’ve had a great and honourable season. They have a shot at the Cup. Many players never get to play for the Cup.

Sour graping Tampa for their budget, big hits, etc sounds more like the Leaves fans to me. Blamecastors.
