It's not something I have seen talked about very much on lit. I have always known I loved being used roughly but it wasn't until recently that someone helped me realize there's a deep seeded masochist side to me. In a weird way I felt a sense of freedom and exhilaration and a need to explore that side of myself even more

Unfortunately, there seems to be some stigma or taboo associated with sadism and masochism. Like it's something you're supposed to hide in fear of sexual partners being put off by it. At least that's what I have found, anyone in the same boat?

More of it is talked about in the BDSM board. I have found the same hesitance to admit the desire to be used by a partner. I think it stems from the fear of rejection in the other aspects of the relationship if it is not their thing. We happily harbour the desire but owning up to them is like most fetishes; will it be accepted.

And yes, the release through pain can be exhilarating.
Trusting your partner to keep within your boundaries is key.
