Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov sat down for a wide ranging interview with an Indian news network earlier this week.

Among other topics Lavrov explained Russia's reason for going to war in Ukraine. You would never be allowed to hear such an interview on US media.

Westerners often equate the Russian and Chinese mindset, just because they were both enslaved by similarly ruthless empires and communism.

But while their Elites/Systems were similar
Russian and South Chinese lay-mentality are opposite.
While the latter admire being cunning and willy as a sign of intelligence, diplomacy and survival skills
Russian laypeople despise those traits. They are among the most honest and upfront people I came across.
