While I managed yet again to not do any ropework that was Lit-friendly, I did some other artwork that I can share.

Roses and lilacs done in Sharpie on the back of my lovely MIS. I prefer the colouring from the redo I did the day later, but I didn't get any pics from that what can be shown sans editing like this shot can. Once I get back to my computer I might try to edit some of the second day's shots and see if I can post them.

May I ask, how long until it disappears completely? I was just thinking of using sharpies for one of my subs, but wanted to check how long it would last.

It depends on a lot of factors. MIS uses lotion after showering, so this sort of thing tends not to last. Usually it will rub off against clothing pretty quickly. Every once in a while it will stain for longer.

In this case, I did it in the evening. She put on a backless shirt and we went out so she could show the work to some friends. Got back home, enjoye dthe rest of the evening and went to bed. The next morning it was still there, but significantly faded. I refreshed it quickly, and we went on with our day.

Most commonly, I will do something in sharpie and it will be gone by the next day.

Not the first time I've used sharpies on her by a long shot, but the first time I've drawn on her, or anyone else for that matter. Also the first time I've worked in colour, and in ink. The illustration I've done previously was always in regular pencil.

This was a huge stretch for me, and it turned out way better than I'd expected it to. I'd only started drawing roses a week or two before doing this, and had draw less than a dozen in practice. Never done a lilac before at all.

Amazing. It looks beautiful and I can imagine how good it'd feel, as well. It's probably not a good idea to look at threads that make me squirmy when I have a lot of work I'm supposed to be doing. Anyway, wow. And you need to relocate to West Virginia. Now.

For now, I continue to labour under similar situation as before. The tying I've been doing has been in photo-unfriendly places, or on bottoms that can't have photos published. And, to be frank, I've not done a lot of complex tying lately. Circumstances have not been conducive to it. Sucks, but it's how things are.

I have been talking to SW, and we're looking at trying to get together after the new year. The current talk is of going to a club we both dig (photo-unfriendly place), but I may try to talk her into coming here for some suspension work. If I do, I should be able to post some photos of it.

Oddly enough, I did a suspension last night. To be frank, it was the best one I've yet done, and was very well received.

I took MIS to a play party last night (viv was not feeling well, so she stayed home), and made use of the dungeon's power winch hardpoint. I tied MIS in a modified gunslinger (hip) harness, a breat harness, and ankle cuffs, then suspended her from the waist harness, and ran lines from the ankle through the ring to the breast harness. I've probably described this tie before.

Anyway, because the line from back to ankle is not tied to the ring, it slides. This means she can change position at will. And as the hardpoint was hung straight from the roof, she had all sorts of room to turn, flip, etc. She proceeded to have a blast dancing in the ropes.

And I spent the whole time while tying answering questions, so it was essentially an unplanned demo, whee. Luckily they understood why I stopped talking when it came time to actually suspend her. Smart folk.

The group has been talking to me for a while about doing an actual demo, but now they're fired up. We'll see.

Unfortunately, as it was A) at a play party, and B) MIS as my bunny, there were per force no photos. Maybe some day soon I'll be in a camera-friendly situation.

It generally feels quite good, or so it seems from the outside. It can be highly therapeutic as well. MIS is someone that has massive trouble sleeping the night before a move, new job, etc. Just flat can't sleep because she is anxious, worried, etc. The last visit I had up to her was the weekend before a new work study position, where she would be student teaching under observation for three weeks. It was a very important gig for her, and the morning I left was her first morning there.

She was wound tighter than a drum, and I knew she was going to have trouble sleeping, so I tied her quite seriously when the time came up to do so. I put her in an ebi tie (Japanese hog-tie) which is a tie that most people can maintain comfortably for quite a long time. She zoned out, and basically just let her stay that way. She eventually fell asleep, and I let her be for about 45 minutes while I prepared to go home, puttered about on the computer, etc. Once I woke her up, she was relaxed and loose as a goose, and I basically poured her into bed shortly thereafter. She slept like a baby, and was well rested for the next day.

I do recall German TV being far more forgiving about sexual topics, even back in the 80's when I lived there. It was quite the education for my younger self on those few nights when I was able to watch late night German TV.

I still wish I'd taken the time to learn the language. The first 3.5 years we were there I was too young really, and the second 3.5 year stay I was in my young teens and not exactly in the best frame of mind to learn the language. We lived in Erlensee, near Hanau (perhaps an hour's drive from Frankfurt), if you are familiar with that area.

I have been looking at the rope pictures and have to admit that my grey eyes turned a little green seeing such beautiful rope tying pics, then they quickly returned to grey again as I realized just how loved viv and mis must feel that you can and will do the rope tying with them. You 3 have such a wonderful relationship together and it makes me feel good to know that poly relationships really can work out. I've never considered being tied before, with rope like viv and mis has allowed you to do, but I am starting to see where it can be calming and erotic at the same time. If ever I were to make it your neck of the woods..............*sigh--knows that will not happen but I can still dream and fantasize right??*

So, one can't compare that bondage-movie with your typical Saturday-after-Midnight-soft-porn on the commercial channels.

Even though it was broadcasted after midnight... That still seems to be a must...

As for German society being more open to sexual topics, it seems to me that in the late 80's there was some "breakthrough" ,which was due to the comung-up of beforementioned commercial TV-channels, actually, as we had only PBS before which were quite uptight and conservative.
The 90's were full of all sorts of half educational, half "sensational" talk-shows and stuff like that plus said weekend-latenight-softporn.

Since the new millenium the "hype" has faded away somehow, maybe it doesn't sell good enough anymore as it's "normal" now...


When I personally broke out of my little quite uptight and conservative shell (which is only about 2 years ago), I was flabbergasted to find out that apparently the whole world thinks, Germans are the most dirty, kinky, even perverted people.
I still feel unable to decide what to think about that.
What I found out personally is that there is a difference between West-Germans and former citizens of the former German Democratic Republic...

Germany is seen to be all sorts of kinky. I would hazard to guess it because Germans seem to have they're own cultural style to BDSM. This probably because German culture has its' own distinct artistic and aesthetic style period. I'm not an art historian, but am familiar enough with art, literature, and sociology to recognise Germanic culture as a distinct entity. fiven its' individuality, and strong kink vibe, you can identify German kink porn as German kink porn. Much like it is possible to do the same with Japanese kink porn for similar reasons.

German kink is more... industrial (much like a lot of the German music I listen to).

i have been wanting do so another suspension since the last time. it was head and shoulders above the res (no pun intended) becuase of the freedom i was allowed once bound. the closest thing i could relate it to is aerial rope dancing, through thats not exactly right. it was a lot of excersize though and i was sore for days afterwards.

i cant wait to fly again. it has made its way to my top five activity list. mabye top two list.
