"At every state primary precinct, as the delegates are being selected to go to the State’s Convention, Ron Paul supporters are getting those delegate slots. At the State Convention those Ron Paul delegates will be sent to the National Convention.

AT THE National Convention, upon the first call of the votes, Romney will NOT get the majority, as a result of Paul Gingrich and Santorum ALL having delegates. BUT, and here is the clincher, AFTER the first call doesn’t produce a majority winner, the delegates are then UNBOUND from having to vote for the respective candidate.

Being that the majority of delegates are Ron Paul supporters, (whether or not they were originally bound to Santorum, Gingrich, or Romney), when the next call happens the Ron Paul people will give Ron the majority thus the Nomination. "

Ron Paul staffers are openly admitting this is their strategy.
If you ask his campagine, they say his supports won most of the delegate seats so far.

Its actually kinda brilliant.

But you said for president. . .I'm saying you or I being president is more likely.

LOL
I agree, no shot in hell of BEING president
but ... the nominee? ....

I'm pretty sure this comes up every election year. . .there is talk of it. . .but the party machine ends up prevailing and the delegates, regardless of their affiliation, vote how the state voted. . .

I think they tend to buy off and bully the delegates ..
but, RP supporters are kinda die hard.

I think the odds of this happening are slim. . .IMO its more likely that he runs as a third party candidate and officially gift wraps the election for Obama. . .

Now that is advanced citizenship. Knowing the process is key.

I agree. Although having his supporters in there, grants him a lot of power. I heard an interview with someone in his campagine , and they said if things dont turn out like they hoped, RP would maybe negotiate with the GOP to get some of the things he really wants passed, like an audit of the IRS in return for votes.

I must say, he appears to be the only candidate that actually walks his own talk. All the other flip and flop like a leaf in the wind.

I've noticed this about him. At least he stands firm on his issues, whether I agree with them or not. The other flip-floppers jockeying for position leave me bewildered.

Romney edged out Paul in Maine. Paul came within a few percentage points of catching him; they left the others in the dust.
