It helped, but due to the lack of participation from some of the most heavily populated nations, I wouldn't call it fully successful.

Absent global governance, I don't see that happening, but that's my cynical side. Those countries don't have an incentive to clean up when they're trying to catch up economically with the developed world.

Strictly speaking, this is a Heritage Foundation deal. If, however, he endorses it all directly, that will be very concerning. No doubt, there is overlap and that is concerning to me and any other smut writers. Not just for our own pursuits, but also for the other, very real issues impacted by this, from LGBTQ rights and free speech. Free speech really does it take hard from both sides, from online "hate speech" censors to anti-porn zealots. No shocks there, I guess.

Still, in the interests of being factual, this is a Heritage Foundation project and the Trump campaign is carefully treading a tightrope of not endorsing it while not condemning it. It certainly raises my hackles in any case. It just goes to show, as does Dobbs, that no transformative reforms and progress are secure from reversal at any point. Granted, in about four to six years, we'll have bigger worries, such as survival itself. Even so, yes, this is a noteworthy warning and it is much appreciated and worth taking seriously.

Is Trump connected to Project 2025? Yes.

In a July 5, 2024 Truth Social post Trump openly contradicts himself about his knowledge of Project 2025 by saying, “I know nothing about Project 2025.” but later in the same post says, “I disagree with some of the things they're saying...” for Trump to disagree with Project 2025 he must have read it.

In that same post, Trump says, “I have no idea who is behind it.” A lie. Trump has spoken at several Heritage Foundation events including one on April 21, 2022 where he praises Project 2025. 29 of the 36 speakers in Project 2025 training videos worked for Trump and Russell Vought, co-author of Project 2025 was caught on hidden camera video saying that Trump's denial of any connection with Project 2025 were, “merely graduate-level politics.” and Vought claimed that Trump is “very supportive of what we do.”

Does he have the means to execute this policy? Yes.

Trump has already put in place people, politicians and judges to circumvent the checks and balances of America's democracy. Evidence of this can be seen in the Supreme Court's ruling that Presidents have "absolute" immunity for official acts that are part of a presidents' "core constitutional powers". Evidence of this can be seen in the fact that a man convicted of 34 felony counts is running for President with the blessing of the Republican party.

Vought has also been caught saying that his group, the Center for Renewing America, was secretly drafting hundreds of executive orders, regulations, and memos. All this would lay the groundwork to quickly put into action Trump’s policies upon becoming president. He described his work as creating “shadow” agencies.
