Ron Kirk - Candidate from Texas for U.S. Senator

I'd campaign door to door for him, put up a sticker or a sign but I want him to stay under the radar. Hopefully the ultraCONs will just assume they'll win and the libs come out from under the bridges. Cornyn is such a lame ass, this one is like Caddyshack 1 and 2 all over.

I had to back down on my current affairs intake when I got insomnia last Christmas. This would be for the seat held by which senator at this time?

Lavy:

has kirk been a senator at the state level? his name sounds familiar. i haven't even really started investigating all the candidates yet. what do you think of john sharp?

I saw an interview with him. He's sharp, tough, a real leader.

It's for Gramm's seat, talk about a cure for insomnia. As Attorney General Cornyn frequently sided with Enron while accepting $193,000 from them. Cornyn won't release the list of his contributors for his 2000 bid, but he lauds for a Freedom of Information Act. He is buddies with Limbaugh and Lowry Mays head of Clear Channel Communications (1200 nationwide radio stations). In my opinion a scummy guy.

Kirk is 48years old, AfricanAmerican, and he does support action against Iraq. He did get in some hot water 10days ago by saying maybe we need to start sending the millionaire's kids first since they profit from war. He came back a little but since he is black and honest he can touch on a lot of topics but he doesn't overly harp on extending the civil rights movement. He is regarded as a relative moderate considering he has the backing of the DFW establishment, they are generally conservative puppeteers. Supposedly he got 75% of the votes the last time he ran for mayor of Dallas. With Sanchez bringing minorities to the polls Kirk really has a chance, the big decider will be exactly what day GWB starts his invasion.

Your choice's credentials are

I've met him.
He's nice.
He's black.
He's Democrat.

That sounds like one hell of an informed vote there...

You don't live in Texas. For someone with those four demerits, just getting out of the batter's box means he is roughly qualified and relatively moderate.
