Romney is now running ads in California

The first time the entire campaign I've seen TV ads for the Presidential race in California.

What gives? Either Romney has to burn some of his excess money and decided to spend it in Cali or he thinks it might be in play?

Could something be going on here that the campaigns internal polls are showing?

What is going on is that the campaigns are buying national market time during the GOTV period of the campaign. Nobody thinks California is in play. It was the one state in the union to have a Democratic sweep in 2010. On the statewide level, the GOP is dead in California and knows it.

In my neck of the desert...

...I've observed multitudes of local candidate signage since - obviously - before the primaries and, since then, I've seen a bunch more.

But...

...only for the locals.

I've have yet to see a single sign for any state candidate or a either presidential candidate.

I definitely live a very blessed life...

It was during local programming though. Can they do national ad buys during local programming? Not saying they can't, just curious.
