a few weeks ago i mentioned to lisa just casually and without thought that i kinda missed the parcels full of gifts she used to send to me (and me to her) when she was in canada i didn't mean anything by it because of course im much happier to have her here rather then there


but today i got a big parcel in the post from lisa she posted it from just down the road without me knowing ... instead of just giving it to me but that's part of the charm of getting those parcels that they come through the post and i guess she knows that ... i didn't know if i should laugh or cry so i did both


inside the parcel was 4 cds ... 2 cds i wanted and 2 cds she likes but wanted me to have (we'd send each other cd's when we were long distance)

a yummy cozy jumper one of lisa's fav's but she just gave it to me (wearing it now)

some chocolates the parcel wouldn't be complete without those

some new sexy lingerie i think im meant to wear them soon as a thank you for the parcel

a beautiful silver bracelet with elisabeth engraved on the inside

and probably the best of all a very touching and wonderful letter she hand wrote to me saying some amazing things that im not going to share

plus a pair of her panties already been worn


anyway it was an amazing surprise and im really just glowing from it now i just wanted to share with you i know its silly some but for me its one of the sweetest things ever

I love romantic stuff in the mail

I went to visit my husband once when he was away for a few weeks on business, he was going to be gone over the weekend so I flew up to New York to spend a weekend with him. We drove around on Sunday before heading to the airport and just talked and talked - it was very nice. Somewhere in the conversation I mentioned that my favorite fragrence (sp?) for pot pourri and candles is vanilla. He can't stand smelly "girl stuff" as he calls it.

On Monday back at work a package arrives for me. In it are three large candles and a silver heart shaped platter to put them on. They are of course vanilla scented. I can't believe he remembered that small portion of conversation and that he did something about it.

Every once in a while he does something right - very rarely, but once in a great while. That was about 3 1/2 years ago - I've only gotten flowers or anything else once since then for my birthday in September. See it's very rare!

But that romantic sillyness and presents of any kind are always nice.

That was a wonderfully sweet and thoughtful thing for her to do, and I wonder if you have any thoughts about returning the favor in a few weeks or even months. Just enough time in between your surprise from her, so that she doesn't expect it and is equally surprised as you were.





The sweetest thing I've ever gotten in a post was a Winnie the Pooh desk set. I had been talking to a good online friend of mine, who knows of my love for eeyore, and showed him the site that had an eeyore stapler. Never expecting in a million years he'd buy me the entire set just to get me that eeyore stapler.

A week after that conversation I went to the post and received a huge package from that company, as soon as I got home I phoned him and he told me to please open it while we were talking so he could hear.

I was speechless and so emotional I couldn't speak for a few minutes. Meanwhile he kept asking if everything was there and if they were in good condition. Through my tears I informed him that eeyore was great (and cuter than the picture showed) but all the other pieces were broken. LMAO

He immediately placed the company a call and after having a *discussion* with them they promised to send me a new set out and I'd have it within a week's time (which I did) and I could keep the broken set. So I have two eeyore staplers now.

No one had ever done such a thoughtful or loving thing for me before, I know that some might consider this silly, but I know that I'll never forget it nor will I ever forget the love behind it.

I have to say, reading your thread made me want to cry. I guess I'm just a very emotional person but when Danielle and I see something beautiful and our eyes meet, knowing what the other is thinking, I want to cry out of sheer delight.
