Romance vs. Raunch

Hmmmmmm, well I think a nice blush wine would do nicely.

Ahhh, the color will complement the sunset. Please allow me to pour you another.

Sorry to interrupt this cozy scene...but going back to Hornymama's post...

It is indeed the smallest of things that make you feel loved. My lady never has asked for anything, with the exception of one thing. Rocks. She likes unusual rocks.

So when I travel, or when I know she is down, I find some & send them to her.

And she, in turn, says little things. And leaves me voice-mails at work that make me smile.

No grand romantic gestures. Just doing things to make each other happy.

Smile... reading my thread i am once again reminded of what a special man i have....

i get thank you card from him that just say "thank you for loving me" he could be the sweetest purest soul in the world.. then there are times when you wouldn't beleive the naughty things that come out of his mouth.. lol..

Irish,

You need to find a way to get to Patrick Co, VA. I'm sure your lady would love the rocks there. They are called "staurlites" and are a local attraction that have come to be called "fairy stones". They are naturally forming crosses.

The legend goes that the fairies lived there and when Jesus was crucified, a messenger was sent out to all corners of the earth to notify everyone. When they got to Patrick Co, and the fairies were told, they were so saddened that they cried. Everywhere that their tears touched, turned the stones into crosses in Jesuses honor.

They have a state park, but about 1.5 miles south of that, they have a hunt site. You can hunt for your own there, which for beginners can be difficult to spot (they usually small, around size of a pencil eraser generally, sometimes a bit smaller, sometimes a b it larger) or you can purchase some that have been beautified. perhaps not a perfect cross that has been corrected, usu. made into a necklace to wear for luck.

Just thought I'd mention it in case you had a chance to get her 1.

I know waht you mean. My hubby calls me from lunch just to say he loves me . Sometimes I'll catch him just watching me and know that i couldn't be love or wanted by anyone more than him. a very special feeling to have.

Hornymama...you are indeed most fortunate.

VA...thanks for that. I may have to make a point of making a detour when next I travel to that region.

I know this was meant for Irish but they sound beautiful. Any way to get one through mail ? My daughter and I love crosses.

I have a local gem & rock shop. If they stock them I'll let you know. I know they have a website.

thank you. I would appreciate it very much. Would love to get her one for Christmas.

Must admit, when I started this thread, I never expected it to go this far. I hope everyone is having a wonderful time. And thanks for sharing.

I used to have a website where you could order them. I had to reformat my comp and haven't looked since. I had just looked up "fairy stones" and "staurlites" to find web sites. If Irishwolf's gem store doesn't have them, I'll see if I can find them or go to 1 of the local places to see if they would do a mail order for you. Or if you'd feel safe giving me your addy, I'd be glad to mail you 1, if the other options fall through (trying to be conciderate of your privacy.)

Well, you have my thanks for launching a thread on such an engaging topic...and by the number of other posts and posters, it seems I'm in good company.

Here's a question for the group...what would you consider to be a romantic gesture in a purely on-line relationship? (No phone calls, cards, or sideways glances involved...)

Romantic On-line Gestures...

Two things come to mind, a thread on this or any other shared bulletin board dedicated to the person, how wonderful he/she is, and or poetry published on an on-line venue that you both happen to share. This has never happened for me, but I have seen it, and thought it was very romantic.

Thank you for all your help. i appreciate anything you can find out. I'm always trying to find sometnihg unique and exceptional for my daughter. I think they have so much more meaning to them. As for my addy, no problem that I can see. I'm a fairly trusting person. And again, thank you.

An e-mail just to see how their day's is. Or an online card.

How about a PM or email that says something like "Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you"

Or I would think so, anyhow.

Even though I have never had an online relationship, I will e-mail my wife with little love notes almost everyday. Nothing much, just I love you's, with the occasional smut thrown in to throw her off guard and make her laugh. That is the key to a woman's heart--make her laugh and she's yours. Sex is great, but a laugh is worth more. Just to see my wife smile brightens up my day.
Just my two cents worth.

Ahhhhh.... You're such a sweet guy. I bet your wife feels special to have found you.

P.S. I love you:kiss:

I would find it romantic to have the person leave PM's telling me they missed me, were thinking about me. Also, leaving posts on threads that only I would know were for me, or about me.....that makes me melt.

my Goodness!
I go back to work, and look what I find!
Bash my friend, this is a lovely thread you have!

An unexpected bit of a romantic gesture from M..
in an email, he said...
"I found I took you to work with me today"....
absolutely melted my heart, and said that way, golly, I feel good.....
and each letter he has written and each conversation he always ends it by saying this
.."Be good to you"
awwwwww.....I am smitten....

not sure if this is raunchy or not...opinions needed, almost innocent in many respects....
while talking to him last night and (keepin him up way too late) golly I feel bad about that.......

I needed to get undressed.it was night after all.so I described to him what I was doing....
unbuttoning this button, then the next.......and so on
giggles...
until finally I reached the point where I got to put my night gown on......the he reciprocated by removing his combat boots.I heard the thud of them hitting the floor.....and then his socks..and his pants.....blushing profusely...
it was

fun

then we settled ourselves in our 3000 miles apart isdes of the bed and talked............

oh
I do
like
the sound of his voice...
just not sure what sorts of romantic gestures to send his way......any ideas?

He is quite a Man....wow.......
