yeah it wasnt very good. the action scences wherent half bad but the story line was a little thin

The Original Rollerball...
...ROCKS.
I couldn't tie myself down to watch the remake. Jimmy Caan is the epitome of a cool man. You can't fake that with special effects. There are actors who could match up today -- but none are in that schleppy remake (ok, I haven't seen it but the clips and from what I read - blech).
The original has a spooky, 70ish sci-fi feel that can't be duplicated.
And John Houseman in his role was just so perfectly evil, too.
