I don't think the prisons will be spilling over with women. I think we will see a uptick in easily avoidable deaths of women. I imagine the ones who DO get caught juries, especially if educated on Jury Nulification, won't put too many away. Honestly the American people could legalize a lot of stuff if we used Jury Nulification.

Police will likely have traps, there are only SO many places out of most states so just replace speed traps with "why are you out here at this time of night?"

I used to avoid being on a jury - so successfully that I have never served. Now I want to be on a jury because I am not convicting anyone of anything.

Well, jury nullification only applies in that particular case the jury is sitting on, and has no precedential effect.

Also, the idea only ever seems to be invoked in connection with criminal cases. It would be interesting to see how it might play out in civil lawsuits.

While you're not wrong I see the world in a very cause and effect sort of way. What if for example there was a near 100% chance that a jury would nullify a case of possession of weed? how long before the DAs start saying "Don't send me this shit." Then the police chiefs logically in turn are going to tell their officers "Leave that cat alone." The law might still be on the books but is it really a law if police either aren't enforcing it or only enforce it as an add on. Like they didn't give a shit about the littering or jay walking, they were busting you for assault or whatever.
