He looked in his glass. "Yes, it is." He leaned closer to her and whispered. "Wanna sip?" He offered her the glass as he put his arms around her in a mock hug so she could take a drink if she wanted.

Nadia was so glad Allie was her usual self and butted into the conversation. Knowing very well that she had nothing strong to drink tonight, she could sense Aliie was plotting something which still made her feel uneasy. She sat quietly and watched, maybe she could see ahead of time where this was going.

He looked in his glass. "Yes, it is." He leaned closer to her and whispered. "Wanna sip?"He offered her the glass as he put his arms around her in a mock hug so she could take a drink if she wanted.

Allie giggled and took the drink and sipped it, grimacing some. "God, thats bitter!" she said, "You're totally awesome though, none of my older friends would've let me drink alcohol." she smiled at him, "I'm declaring you my new best guy friend!"

Hook, line, and hopefully sinker...

Nadia had no idea what Allie was getting at. She was playing the dumb chick, who just wanted to get drunk. What was she trying to do? The gears in her head were grinding. Maybe she was trying to get Max jealous. Jealous? Of what? Its not like the two of those were dating. Nadia zoned out, oblivious to the conversations that were happening between the two people sitting just to her side.

Maybe shes trying to get rid of me! Oh get over yourself Nadia. She sighed again, giving up and knowing she will never really understand her fellow band mates and their antics. I guess this is nothing like having friends. I dont really know these people. Looking around the room once more, she noticed Leon on stage. She was glad he wasn't getting caught up in all of this but knew that one day too, he was going to get trapped in the drama that surrounds the two bands.

-Leon Looked to Alex and Max who Didnt start a count down.-"Come on guys were not making a great impression for your Song Max lets get it rolling!!!!"-he yelled out as he began to go up beat a bit more in the intro to see if he could get things rolling.-

Nailz took a clue from Allie for the heckling to continue.

"WOW WHAT CRAPPY SIGNING GOING UP THERE. WHAT YOU GARGLE WITH NAILS THIS MORNING. YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO GET A RECORD DEAL WITH THAT PERFORMANCE. SORRY LEON AND ALEX, YOU GUYS ROCK ITS JUST YOUR SIGNER SUCKS ASS.

Benji smiled as Allie grimaced at the drink. He laughed knowing she wanted something. He figured he would be the cause of a good argument between her and some guy later. She was probably with one of the guys in the band. Who knew with the drama that seemed to be going on. He looked back over at Nadia and his smile faded a little. She looked like she was ready to crawl under a rock. He brushed her shoulder ever so gently and she lifted her chin. "You okay?"

Nadia came back out of her thoughts the moment she felt Benji's touch. "Uh, yea I'm fine." She gave him a half smile and looked down at the floor towards her feet. She could hear Nailz yelling something in the background. Her face cringed at the trouble that was starting, just as things looked like they were turning around.

"Who's that?" Benji asked Nadia, nodding at the girl heckling the band. He was certain she was ready to cause as much trouble as possible. Her wild hair and flashing eyes were the same as he'd seen growing up in LA. She had to be a west coast girl. Benji downed the last of his drink and asked for water. 3 would be enough tonight if he wanted to get himself back to the dingy little apartment he called home. Of course, if someone wanted to get him there instead he might keep drinking.

"Oh," she rolled her eyes, "thats Emily, or Nailz. She's our guitarist. Charming isnt she?" Nadia didnt want to make it come across like she hated Nailz, but they werent best friends either. This being said, Nadia was never first to step up for her. Dont start something you cant finish, she thought to herself. Nadia looked at her drink, which was almost empty. Her stomach growled, all this time and she hadnt had anything to eat.

"Hey, do they serve any food here? I'm starved." He figured they could get a booth and have a burger or something. If not here, maybe at the little greasy spoon he had seen next door. He had heard enough of this band to know he could help them out. They had a good basis they could just use some direction. He figured he and the bassist could be a good team. He looked at Nadia and hoped she was hungry as well. He would take all the girls, he guessed, if they wanted. He looked at Nailz again and wondered if he should make it a group offer.

"Im not sure, you can ask around I guess but theres a diner around the corner if you're really hungry." She didnt really know if she was being invited or not, and if she was, she wasnt sure if she wanted to tag along. She was starving though. "I could keep you company, if you wanted. Sucks to eat alone you know."

"I could keep you company, if you wanted. Sucks to eat alone you know." He knew that was about as close to an offer as Nadia would ever give him. He really needed something to eat before long. "We won't piss anybody off by going will we?" He asked as Allie and Nailz laughed at the band. "I'd buy you something to eat if you want." He hoped she would agree. It did suck to eat alone.

"They wouldnt notice anything at this point. And its not like we're going to be gone long anyway. But you dont have to buy me anything, really." She looked towards the ground and picked up her back pack and slung it over her shoulder. "You can lead the way." She got a chance to finally get the hell out of this place, and she really looked forward to it.

Benji tipped the bartender and moved for the door, Nadia following just behind him. Outside on the sidewalk he stopped and waited for her. She caught up to him and he slowed down a bit, strolling toward the little diner next door. It was early enough there shouldn't be too may drunks yet. "What do you like to eat in the middle of the night?" He asked her as she walked beside him. They came to the door and he held it for her, then followed her inside where they took a booth. A waitress dropped off menus and swished away. He glanced at it wavering between a burger and fries or a stack of pancakes and side of ham and eggs.

*Adrian*

I lazily toyed with the strings of my Les Paul, distorting them and bringing them back, as I slowly eyed Max. It wasn't like him to have such a big pause, but it seemed to be from whatever the girls from Sweet Surrender were doing. Shaking my head, I walked towards Leon, nodding my head, as if to tell him to start to play something off the top of his head. Lightly, I played a toned up riff of Smoke on the Water, the chugging chords, leading into a small medley of notes. I hoped at least my band mates would go along with it, as it seemed we wouldn't be playing any real songs for a while.

She really thought about it. "Grilled cheese sandwiches. I think theyre the best any time food you can get your hands on. Plus its easy to make!" She felt better being out of that dark smelly bar. She had gotten used to playing in places like that but once she was there for more than she had anticipated, that when she got uneasy. She thumbed through the menu, not really reading for anything in particular. "So what brings you back to this area?"

Benji decided on the pancakes and folded the menu. Nadia confessed to her liking of grilled cheese sandwiches and looked much happier to be out of the bar. He turned sideways in the booth and put his feet up. "Well, I was in Oregon for awhile, playing some and working here and there." He leaned over a little. "I followed a girl up there and she found someone else after we got there." He sat back up after telling her that part almost in secret. "I got a lot of gigs, but I just missed being here. And I didn't have anyone to stay there for anyway. So, I came back here. I like this scene. It's home." The waitress returned and Benji ordered his pancakes and grilled cheese sandwiches for Nadia. "I'll have coffee and ice water." He told her. "Nadia?"

Nadia looked at the waitress and blinked absent mindedly. "Let me have a grilled cheese sandwhich, cup of milk. and," she paused, looking at her watch "and some toast." She handed the waitress the menu and thanked her. "Following someone around the country seems foolish to me, to be frank. But you seem to have gotten through fairly well. You held your composure as you told me the story.

She leaned on the wall of their booth and crossed her legs under her. Finally finding a comfortable spot, she turned towards Benji to give her all of her attention.

"Well, it was foolish, but I would do it again if I thought I was in love with someone. Live and learn, ya know?" He pushed the salt shaker around. "Course, not sure falling in love again would be something to do again anyway. That shit hurts too much when the other party falls out. There's a reason its called falling."

"Im going to have to say I dont know what thats like. One of the ups to being me is that you dont ever talk to someone long enough to like them past an acquaintance. So love," she paused, slightly sighing, " is not something I have experienced first hand. So I havent had the pleasure of knowing the heartache." The waitress had arrived with their drinks. She got the straw from out of the sleeve and started to bend it into little squares. Thats another thing I need, an OCD.

Benji couldn't believe it. he was sitting at an all night diner with a girl who played in a girl band, was painfully shy and admitted to having never been in a relationship that was anything more than an acquaintance. That, plus she attacked the straw on the table with a vengence, folding it into a square. He knew thought there was something more bubbling just below the surface. He believed she had never been involved with anyone and was a little ashamed now of pushing up against her earlier. He was used to a crowd that was just as likely to unzip your jeans in a crowd if they wanted without a second thought. He smiled at her and toyed with the salt shaker some more, pouring put a little and piling it up. He remembered Shana, the girl he had followed to Oregon and felt a little melancholy for just a minute.

Alex slipped his note. He was eyeing the conversation between Nadia and Benji, not really liking it. But he couldn't do anything about it now, he was performing. But he couldn't do anything anyhow, since nobody knew about his little crush on Nadia, he didn't want people to find out. When she and Benji got up though, the bend he was pulling on his bass for a quick and small solo of the intro for Smoke on the Water, he slipped and the string grazed against the fretboard. It sounded awful. Alex blushed deeply. He tried to mask it by playing around another section of the riff, but the damage had been done. Inwards he was cursing, but continued either way with the song.

Nadia threw the straw wrapper at Benji's face the moment she saw him look away. "Don't give me that down on the dumps crap. Its the past. Live and let go right?" She placed her straw in her glass of milk and sipped it slowly. A song she recognized on the over head radio and she used her index fingers to drum along on the side of the table. Remembering that she was in the company of another drum player, she got embarrassed and hid her hands between her legs.

Nadia surprised him by nailing him on the little pity party he had started for himself. He did have a bent for self destruction at times and it was always good for someone to call him on it. He hardly noticed when she began drumming her fingers along with the music, but when she stopped abruptly and hid her hands he took notice. "Do you have to pound along with stuff too?" He asked, knowing the feeling because he was constantly fidgeting with his hands. He took a sip of the coffee.
