Rockin and Rollin (PM me to join )

Benji looked back at the stage. He shook his head. Here he was, needing a gig and them needing a drummer. Maybe there was such a thing as fate after all. He looked back to the two beautiful girls. He stuck out his hand. "My name's Benji." He flashed a smile to them both.
"Give this kid a taste of what he missed!" The first girl said to her friend. Benji's mind went into overdrive, wondering what was about to happen.

"I'm Allison but most people call me Allie." Allie said in response to Benji. Allie gasped at Nadia's words, "Seriously?! You aren't going to get upset or anything. Sweet!!" Allie stood up on the table and whispered to Nailz what she planned to do, knowing that Nailz with her crazy personality would most likely join in.

She got off the table, so as not to make a spectacle of herself and then debated with herself about walking onstage and interrupting his show. Finally, she decided against it because that would probably cause a fight and it would make her and Sweet Surrender look bad.

Benji watched as Allie climbed up on the table to consult with yet another girl. After a few moment's tense debate with herself, she climbed back down. The girl next to her looked somewhat relieved. He turned back to the bartender and ordered another JD and Coke. Tonight might be a good night to loosen up and put himself back out there. "Any idea who else might need a drummer?" He asked the girls and pulled the drumsticks from his back pocket and did a quick roll on the metal of the wait station on the bar. Then he twirled the stick like a fast draw gun and reholstered them in his pocket.

Alex watched Emily still standing on the table, quickly joined by Allison. They were discussing something, probably some form of stage antic or maybe even a heckling act. Alex sigh and turn around, facing Leon. "Dude, this is, like, the usual stuff that goes on. If you wondering, Max and Allison don't get along anymore. But I bet you already knew that." Alex sighed again, turning back to the crowd. He watched Max, hoping he would just continue with the next song. Alexander even play the opening notes, slow and soft. Perhaps that helped...

"Not Sweet Surrender, thats for sure. I'm Nadia, drummer." She smiled and offered her hand to the guy. "Nice to meet you Benji. Im not too aware of the rest of the bands around here, but if you want to hang out with those guys, you're going to need to know how to hang with the Egotron 9000." She swallowed down a chuckle as she pointed at Max. Alex glanced at her once again, and she smiled.

"Allie's right, theyre not all bad, but sometimes one bad apple spoils the bunch." She rested her elbows back on the bar, her chest out, giving an air of someone really laid back. She was quite proud of herself, maybe she had gotten over her fear of socializing. Fat chance, she thought to herself.

Benji took her hand and gave it a light squeeze. "A drummer huh?" He smiled at her. "Good to know." He looked at the group onstage. The bassist seemed to be trying to keep it all together. Hard for a bassist without a drummer. Together the rhythm section was the heart of any band. "Egos are not a problem." He thought a moment. "These dudes need some help." He looked at the bass player and keyboardist. "Excuse me a minute." He told Nadia and walked to the edge of the stage. He called the bass player over with a wave. "I notice something's a little, not here." He told him.

Nadia pointed at the stage, Alex saw her talking to a new guy. That same new guy approached the stage very confidently, greeting him. Alex sighed, the gig was wasted time and effort anyway. He walked over to the new guy, who told him that something was missing. Of course something was missing, a lack of coherent playing.

"Yeah, I know. Before we had Nadia over there." Alex gestured at Nadia, for a moment glancing at her. "Now we have nothing really. I'm Alexander by the way, you can call me Alex. Seems like everyone does." Alex held out his hand. "And you are?"

As Benji walked away from her, almost brushing her off, she felt a bit disappointed. She really had to work on the way she talked to people. Wondering if she came off as she was trying too hard, she saw the two guys talking to each other. Alex pointed at her, making her stomach turn. Turning back around to face the bar, she realized that no music was really playing. Was the set over, she thought to herself. Taking a few sips from her drink, she saw Allie and Nailz conjuring up something amongst themselves. She feared for what they could possibly conspire.

"Name's Benji. I'd be interested in drumming for you guys if you'd have me. I think there's something here and we could be able to pull it off." He shook his hand. "Catch you after your set." He returned to the bar where the girl had turned away from him. He walked up behind her and leaned against her, just a little and waved at the bartender for another. "How long you been drumming?" He almost whispered into her ear as another song started up. He reached over her for the drink and allowed her enough room to turn back around.

Hmm, a drummer... Alex smiled at Benji, nodding an agreement to him. There wasn't much to their meeting, just a short introduction. Hell, it had to be short. With or without Max, he would start the next song. He looked at Leon and Adrian, their guitarist. "Alright guys, we're just going through our set list. Max, you with us?"

Alex just hoped the crowd wouldn't boo them off when they started playing again, but the silence had lasted too long now. He counted off to zero and started the next song of their gig. He focused on the notes and the rhythm, but couldn't help but cast another few quick glances at Nadia. Which nearly made him slip, as he saw Benji a bit too close for Alex' liking to her. He kept a stare on the two of them, well, in their general direction. He didn't want to seem suspicious or paranoid...

The set continued slowly, without any major interruptions, save for something the Sweet Surrender girls might cook up...

Nadia bit her lips as she felt him lightly put his weight on her back. She turned towards him, looking up at him. "Since I was eight, so ten years, you?" Truth was that her parents thought she was nuts, so they sent her to a psychiatrist. Her psych thought it would be a good idea to have her learn a loud instrument, to maybe encourage her to speak up more. It worked, sometimes. The drums became her way to vent and let go of her anger. She loved her drum kit to death.

"Since before I could talk. My old man was a drummer. He taught me to irritate my mom." The Jack was beginning to make his head float a little. He looked at the girl he was crowding at the bar. She was pretty with that blonde hair and light skin. "I can't imagine doing anything else." He took another drink. He finally began to relax.

She moved to face him a bit more. She made sure to cross her legs, her dark gray skirt moving a bit exposing more her creamy colored legs. "I know what you mean. My parents are glad Im playing an instrument, it gets me talking to people." Once she said that she hoped she didnt come across as creepy. "But they by no means want it to be what I end up doing for the rest of my life." She always found herself looking towards the stage.

The guys up there had started to play again, or so it seemed. She hoped that the night would take a turn for the better.

"What? Talking to people?" He twisted what she said. "No, I'm joking. I know what you mean. At least your parents give a rat's ass about what you'll be doing." He took a drink and looked back at the stage. "I really don't know anything else." He tucked his hair behind his ear and glanced back at the stage. "I just need to find the right band." Then he looked back at Nadia. "That is a beautiful name, by the way. It fits you."

Nadia wanted to run away. She knew she was blushing and hiding her face would only make things more awkward. "Yea I meant playing drums. I could live without talking to people though. And thank you." She prayed for a fire, something to get her out of this. She felt so out of place. Benji seemed more laid back as she finally took a good look at him. He seemed to be about her age, but had a more independent air to him. Not knowing what to say next, she faked a smile at him, hoping he got the hint that she was bad with conversations.

[I feel so left back some times] -Leon Got Ready as he was pure Keyboard on this next song he warmed up playing the intro to the song with the others his eyes focused more on the music and not on the lights or the girls-

Benji smiled as Nadia squirmed. He relented and took a bar stool next to her. She seemed to be the type of girl who would rather everyone left her alone. Too bad he was drawn to those types. He rather enjoyed getting to know them and had been around enough to know they were usually the most talented and interesting. He looked at Allie. Then there were the others too. God, he loved being back in this scene. Oregon had been fun to party, but the grunge thing wasn't what he was in to. He loved the good old rock and roll. He leaned back and put his arm along the bar, running it behind the girl. "Tell me about yourself, Nadia."

She screamed inside her head. Why wont he just go away! She knew that she was just openly talking to him a few minutes ago, but now that her bravery had run dry, she wanted to be left alone. Excusing herself to the bathroom would be a good way out, but she didnt want to spend the entire night there.

"Um... What do you want to know?" She said, with a twirl in her voice. Nadia's voice was soft mostly, but the loud bar had her talking a bit louder, touching on her subtle yet present Russian accent. Maybe, if she tried hard enough, she could be really really boring and he would just walk away and Nadia could finally breathe easy.

Benji shook his head remembering he was bad at small talk. He had used up his good questions with the how long you been drumming question. It was his, "do you come here often?" line. He looked into her eyes and heard the tremor in her voice. "Oh, I don't know. Seems everyone I knew from here before has gone somewhere else. I'm just trying to keep from sitting alone in the dark somewhere I guess. Never mind me." He took a long drink form the glass and chewed on some ice. Suddenly he was ready to either play or get drunk off his ass, but he had no one around to get him home, so he decided against it.

Allie sat back down with a little giggle. "Sooo, what ya guys talking about?" She had a mischievious look in her eye which could have been mistaken by someone thinking she was up to something. She was up to something but anyone who didn't know her would probably assume she was drunk or something.

Allie plopped down on the other side of Benji. The night was looking up. He looked at her and loved the little light in her eyes that made it seem as though she was up to something naughty. He put his other arm on the bar behind her. "Aw, nothing much. You?" He winked at her and took another sip.

She looked over at Allie who had just sat down next to them. Nodding, she continued with what she was about to say.

"Aww, Im sure you'll make new friends in no time." She was being sincere, not just saying it because it was the default thing for her to say. She placed her hand on his shoulder to comfort him, removing it immediately once she realized she touched someone she didnt know. Her sudden movement caused him to look directly at her. She apoligized, looking away and blushing. She really needed to check those drinks for alcohol.

She smiled innocently, though she was certain that Nadia knew she was anything but innocent. "Nada..." She turned her attention to the band and yelled, "Hellooooooooooooooo! You guys have fans to entertain, some of us didn't come here to stare dreamily at Max!!!" She smirked at Max and then turned her attention back to Benji. "So Benji, mind if I call you Ben? how old are you?"

Benji had removed his arm from around Nadia as it seemed to make her uncomfortable. When she comforted him about having no friends yet and touched him, it seemed to surprise her and she yanked back. When he looked at her she blushed and apologized. He wanted to laugh at this girl who was at such odds with herself. "It's okay, I don't bite. Hard." He added. Then she wouldn't look at him at all.
Allie yelled something at the band then turned her attentions to him. "So Benji, mind if I call you Ben? how old are you?" "You can call me anything you want." He told her. "I'm 20 and glad I made it this far."

"Ohh, an older man? I love older men.." Allie said flirtaciously, it wasn't that she liked the guy, but if he was going to be in Chaotic Frenzy, she had to make new alliances, plus he was an easy target to flirt with. "I'm 19." she said, then looked at his glass. "Is that alcohol?" She gave a small pout.
