Liz raised her eyebrow, "Do I look like your maid? Plus your not supposed to drink before you start rehearsing idiot?" She said smirking walking off before he could say anything else to him. Allie began to crack up. "Oh yeah, that brings back memories..." Allie said giggling.

Alex frowned at Lizzy. She was such a... Such a nuisance for lack of better words. Lizzy walked away before Alex could add anything as the final word. He didn't bother calling after her either. It was better this way. Alex sighed deeply. If it wasn't for the fact she played guitar...

Turning to face Allison, who obviously had some fond memories of a pre-rehearsal drinking day, Alex wanted to talk to her. But with Benji banging the drums right behind them, it wasn't such a great way to communicate. "Allison, can I talk to you after all this? It's about... Well, Nadia."

Alex felt his cheeks burning, whether this was due to his rushing home or the fact he was thinking about the night before, Alex turned away and went back to his back. He started a few scales up and down the neck of his bass, warming his fingers.

Allie glanced over at Alex, "Huh, oh yeah sure Alex..." she tried to bite back a smile so that Alex wouldn't see.

Benji had everything set up to his satisfaction as Alex arrived. They greeted each other and visited a bit, then he went to talk with Allie.

Max woke in a haze, not remembering much from the night before, he looked around confused, where had that traffic cone come from? he shook his head and sat up on his couch, where he had crashed out the previous night.

He waited for his head to stop pounding before he made his way to the kitchen, opening the fridge he saw he had a pizza box, upon opening it he found half a pepperoni pizza, which he decided to eat cold.

Making his way into the bathroom he took off his top and threw it on the growing pile near the door, he proceeded to fill the sink with cold water before taking a deep breath and sticking his head under the water for a short time, a great wake up routine.

He threw on another T-shirt, and headed for the door with his hair still dripping, picked up his keys and left for Alex's place.

Allie continued talking to Alex for a few moments then turned to Liz , "You don't mind keeping Ben company for a few minutes do you? Alex wanted to talk to me..." then she whispered, "Be nice..." Liz just rolled her eyes and muttered, "Yeah, yeah, yeah...." Allie walked over to Alex. "So, whats up?"

Alex looked up from the neck of his bass when Allison talked to him. He knew for a fact Allison was one of, if not the best friend of Nadia, so he might as talk to her about last night. Alex took off his bass, setting it on the stand next to his amp. He gestured for Allison to follow him as he stepped outside the garage.

Once they were out in the sun, Alex turned back to Allison. "About last night, when you said I should be the one driving Nadia home. You knew it right? You knew how I feel about Nadia?" Alex' voice was low, soft, not wanting everyone to hear what they were talking about.

"Whatever it was, I want to thank you for that. Certain things happened between Nadia and me, but I think it's best I'd leave that for Nadia to tell. I'm giving her a call after this." Alex kicked away a pebble. He wasn't sure if he should tell Allison everything, it would be wiser if he didn't say much at all. Even so, Allison still deserved to hear the whole thing. But not from Alex of course. Nadia would be telling her that.

Allie smiled, "Yeah, I knew...I mean come on its obvious almost as obvious as Max and..." she covered her mouth. Crap she almost told about her little well, lets call it obsession for now on Max. "It's just obvious.." she said, "and puhlease. I think by the way Liz said the way you 'slept' over at Nadia's house it was pretty obvious that you didn't get any sleep over there...even though she turns everything into a sexual innuendo...but I'll get my confirmation from Nadia just to be sure." Allie said hoping Alex wouldn't question her about what she almost gave away.

Alex nodded, it was indeed painfully obvious what he had been doing. Still, he got it off his chest and he smiled at Allison. "Alright then, I'll let you know when I'm calling Nadia." Alex moved back into the garage, picking up his instrument. It was still pretty empty, only Benji and Alex present.

An idea to kill the time formed in Alex' head. "Hey Lizzy, why don't you get your stuff here and play along with us. I'm sure Allison can sing something for us? I mean, I bet Max and Leon won't be here for another hour or something. What do you guys think?"

"Sure..." Allie said, she handed them the sheet music that she had handed Nadia and Nailz. "This'll give you early practice ahead of time Liz." Liz just nodded as she looked at the sheet music, humming it in her head as if getting the feel for the music. "You guys don't mind do you? Since Nailz and Nadia aren't here at the moment?"

Liz grabbed her guitar and pic. She started to play the cords and Allie waited for the guys to play theirs cords.

Alex went over the music, following each note with his eyes. He nodded, this wasn't bad. He smiled at Allison. "Sounds okay, can't wait to hear it." Alex placed the sheet of music on his amp, watching it as he played softly to catch the tune. He nodded again. "Got it."

He went down to his effects, twisting the knobs and buttons a bit until he got the right sound. As he stood up, Alex was ready to start, pointing Allison to the mic that always stood ready. Their garage had been turned into a somewhat of a studio every time they were rehearsing. The only thing they always lacked was a good drummer, but with Benji here that problem was solved.

Benji waited til everyone got tuned up and ready. "Allie, give be a few bars so I can hear what the beats gonna be." He waited as she got them started. Benji waited until he got the feel then kicked in with expert timing. Suddenly they were making music! He watched as Allie got the most thrilled look on her face. He drove the song along, watching Alex to stay in perfect sync with the bass. The rhythm section was most important in a band. He knew that. Music had a life of its own and needed a heart.

Allie gave Alex a few bars and soon the song began and Allie started to sing the song that she was going to sing last night after Chaotic Frenzy's set. :

You had me at hello
but you never realized
you were always in my heart
but pushed me far away

She closed her eyes as began to sing with more feeling and emotion. This song was completely and utterly written about Max. That's why she had wanted to perform it while he was there.

Baby just surrender
give up and love me
It'll be a sweet surrender
A very sweet surrender

Liz watched as she continued to play the cords written on the sheet music. She could see the emotion playing on Allie's face and knew instantly what and who the song was written about and for. Well, if Max was going to be stubborn it would be up to Liz to play match maker and nothing or anyone would come between them....not even Benji...Liz smirked.

Don't ever leave my side
I'd think I'd go insane
Don't push me away
for my heart would stop
Baby just surrender
give up and love me
It'll be a sweet surrender
A very sweet surrender

Allie stopped singing coming out of her musical trance,"Well, what did you guys think? Was it good? I just wrote it."

Benji watched Allie sing. This wasn't exactly the rock song he had hoped for but it was a good warm up. A but too ballady for his taste, but oh well. When she asked if it was good he didn't really respond, knowing the others would take up the slack. He twirled his stick and waited for something that was a little more metal. Sweet Surrender for sure. He looked at Allie and then realized Liz was glaring at him. God, he hated being the new guy. What had he done to her? They only just met.

After glaring at Benji for not responding to Allie since he was supposed to be her 'love interest' Liz turned to her best friend, "I thought it was great! Your fans will love it as well!" Allie smiled at Liz, "Thanks Liz, what did you think Ben?"

Liz smirked, "Yeah, Benji what did you think?"

"I think it was a great love song." He answered. He really did, he was just hoping for a little harder song to work out to. He knew there had to be some there. As Liz smirked at him he decided he was already sick of her. He didn't know whether or not he really liked her or really hated her. He did have to admit she was hot and a bit of a turn on.

"Thanks, I know it wasn't a rock song per say but sometimes I like to change the sound every once in awhile and just to warn you...Max does the same thing..maybe not to same extent that I do, but he does change his sound every now and then right Alex?" Allie said.

"Yeah, you should take it from someone who was actually in his band." Liz said cutting in before Alex could say anything once again smirking.

Allie glared at Liz and nudged her.

"What? You were..." Liz said pouting. "They were close, like two peas in a pod, one could even say they were almost lov..." Allie nudged her even harder and gave her a death glare.

Benji listened to the girl with renewed interest. She was telling off on Allie. Now Benji had the full picture. So Allie and Max were, close. He nodded at them. It was now clear why Allie had taken an interest in him. Well, that was it. No more getting to know any girl involved with any band. Benji had been used enough. First Shana, his old girlfriend who had used him to get a ride to where she knew her ex-boyfriend had moved, now Allie, to evidently get back at Max for something stupid, no doubt. From now on Benji would get back to what he used to do. He would pick up a girl at a gig if he needed some company and cut her loose the next morning, no strings no emotion. He was done. Getting up he headed for the garage door. He needed to cool off and if Max and the rest didn't get here soon to rehearse he was leaving.

Fuckin A! Allie glared at Liz who smiled as if she had done Allie a huge favor. They were not lovers! Hell, Max didn't even know she existed! "Alex...could you deal with you sister before I deal with her, and if I deal with her, you're going to be an only child..." Allie said through clenched teeth. She could see by the look on Ben's face that he was not happy. Damn Liz!

Alex played through the song. It was clear that Max had been stupid and not shared the spots with Allison. She was a great singer, she really was. Alex stared out into nothing as the song ended. He held the note for a long time, waiting for it to be drowned out by the rest of the gang.

His mind wasn't really busy with the song, more with Nadia. He wondered what she was doing, what she was thinking. He was shaken out of his thoughts by Allison. Something about switching the sound of the band and keeping his sister busy. Alex just nodded, he seemed absent minded. There was a myriad of songs he played in his head, all somehow in relation to what was going on inside his mind. Alex not even noticed Benji storming off, he was just holding the note on his bass.

"Ben...Ben, wait!" Allie called as she chased after him, damn her.. was all she could think. True, in the beginning she was going to use him and last night Max's words had affected her ...a little, but he was fucking drunk, who knew if he meant them, if he would even remember them!! "BEN!!" She yelled, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Liz was lying. Max and I weren't ever involved...we were just friends I swear..."

Benji listened as Allie ran up behind him. Her words were empty to him. He had already decided he didn't care. Maybe she and Max could make up and leave him the hell alone. He was mad and a little hurt, though he wasn't about to admit that. That was what he had decided, until he turned around and saw her tears. "Liz was lying. Max and I weren't ever involved...we were just friends I swear..." He looked at her. "Is that all you want to be with him again? Because if it isn't just tell me now. No more games, Allie. I won't play head games with you or anyone else." He looked over her shoulder at the others. "You all got that? I don't fucking play head games!" He yelled at them. Alittle voice in his head spoke up, 'It hurts too much.'

Allie opened her mouth to say something but closed it. She didn't know, truthfully, she did want Max but...at the same time she was tired of waiting for him to apologize. "I understand but if I did want to fall over Max like a love sick puppy don't you think I would've done so last night when he called me beautiful last night?" Though in her head she kept saying He was drunk Allie, nobody listens to Max when he's drunk. That's like listening to a person with amnesia

Benji just looked at her. His head kept screaming at him to stay out of it, but other parts were encouraging him to reconcile. "I don't know." He told her. "I kinda don't have a clue here, Allie. I don't know who to trust, who to believe." He dropped his head and tapped his sticks against his thigh. "What do you want? That's all I have to go on. And we don't have to be anything but friends if that's what you want."

Allie looked down, she knew that being the guy was hard. "I understand but honestly, Liz always hoped that we would someday get together and truthfully so did I..." Okay that probably didn't help, "but we got into that fight, words were said, we both got angry I told him either he lets me have centerstage one day or I form my own band and end everything between us." Allie whispered. She had never told anyone about the fight, of course Max probably didn't realize they had 'broken up' without even breaking up as well. "Plus, I'm tired of waiting for him to apologize, I'm not going to wait for him to apologize, it's pointless, because he is so damn pig headed and he never will!" By now, Allie was clenching her fists. She took a deep breath, "But if you want to be friends thats fine...because truthfully, I did sort of I mean before I started to get to know you I was sort of using you to make Max upset. Even though, he probably doesn't even like me.."
