While we are in the subject of off roading, have you ever explored FSR 73 off 410 past Enumclaw? The Suntop Lookout is accessible from there. Huckleberry Creek runs along a section of it . It washes out every other year, but it is a magical place to explore in a Jeep.

I am heading EAST for the weekend, not South. What a fucking mess on I-5. Have you seen the warning messages on the DOT signs on all the freeways? Alert! Traffic to Oregon is going to suck balls!

I did some MTB riding in the hills west of Ellensburg, once. It was pretty nice in the forest.

I have a lifelong friend with a cabin up in those hills. You can see most of the Cascade range up there at the top. It is one of my most favorite places in Washington State. Too bad Ellensburg is such a shit hole otherwise.
