I am bored. Here is a cotton candy thread. Where are you going this summer? What are you going to do when you get there? Bonus points for anything clandestine.

I am planning my vacations now. Let's hear yours.

I'm hoping to make it to Charlotte. My good friend there has just gotten past some major health issues that he kept private save for a small group and he's planning a thank you for your discretion party.

I'll stay with him and also work on something at his studio while I'm there.

I'l like to get to the World Series of Poker, but I think think I'll be able to.

Planned a road trip, Tennessee mountains around Gatlinburg for a while, then NC mountains, then NC beaches for a while.

I went to the Kennedy Space Center about 2 months ago for the first time.
It was depressing, we should already be roaming around the stars.

Summer is a no go as far as vacations for me, but I'm hoping to go somewhere this fall or winter. I've never been to the Caribbean, maybe there, but it's also been years since I've been to Europe. I am submitting my paperwork for passport renewal now so that it's out of the way just in case.

I always wing it. It'll be sporadic minor breaks. Having co-worker issues for the moment, we're down two main people on an after-surgery leave and an upcoming twin birth sometime in July or August, so I can't bounce long term 'til September.

I'm going to Cali for 17 days. Will be doing a 5 day backpacking trip to the sierras. Spending a couple days at a lake with friends. Meeting a Litster.

You'll love it. If you can make it to the Mammoth area, serious beauty.

I'll be jerking off a lot, maybe getting a little high in the evenings, possibly having sex with the wife a few times. Better than Disney.

I have a Chicago trip planned in June and a Cali trip in July. I feel August is lacking now.

I don't think Mammoth is on the itinerary but have been there before. Going to Tuolomne(sp?) River. Tubing and hopefully waterskiing on Lake Nacimiento. Lunch in Santa Barbara. Probably taking my young surfer to Avila Beach, maybe Refugio.

I will be in Asbury Park, NJ in June for the Punk Rock Music Festival . It doesn't really count as a roaming vacation but it's a start.

I have two weeks off in July but haven't planned anything. We go to the beach all the time and usually go to Wildwood, NJ every year.

My job keeps transforming so right now I'm taking work trips instead of vacations. Considering I'm going to be ass-deep in some sand with a beverage in my hand in a few days whilst on the company payroll I'm okay with that.

Florida next week, Cali a few weeks after that, Seattle a few weeks after that.

The Ginger and I are considering a few options for a warm getaway come the cooler months but no destination has been decided on. For now we will be venturing to the cabin in Ohio, trips to Indy to see family and then who knows.

If there isn't some Chi-Town titty squishes with pictures, ima be a littke perturbed. Just sayin.

Staying here all summer and hopefully playing a lot of golf. But let's keep that between you and me. ;)

Wow.
I visitted friends who lived in Indiana, and it was the most sour place I ever visitted. Almost no one was smiling.

What is the wow for?

I make people smile just by gracing them with my presence. However I'm not a fan of Indiana, just some people who live there.

On a more serious note:
You know how they nominate cities as the "capitals of suicide" (figuratively speaking)? Every country has one.

From my pov, Indiana as a state is like that for the US.
Grey weather, several impoverished small towns ( I assume since their infrastructure was destroyed over the last 10 years), passerbyes who look burnt out or jaded.

Acascuseeeee me? Chicago, eh?

Well, being an Indy girl myself I am super close. My sister lives in Chicago at least for one more month and it's our last big blow out weekend.

As for Hashtag and Indiana,

I am thinking this was more likely you than Indiana itself. While I am not a fan of Indiana politics, the phrase "Hoosier hospitality" is not something that was simply coined for the sake of irony. I'm guessing you donned some faux elitist airs during your visit, likely called or treated people like your new favorite word "oakies," assuming they were simple folk and they didn't take too kindly to you. That is something I can say for Hoosiers - They are friendly but not very tolerant to stupid. If you behaved even a quarter like you do here, you didn't warrant an ounce of their kindness. Please feel free not to visit again.

I'm hoping to make it to Charlotte...

Was there a few weeks ago. Fun place, lots of brew pubs. Merts and soul gastro lounge for soul food and midwood smokehouse on Central if you like barbecue.

Later this summer planning a trip to the Seattle area.

Was in San Diego area over Christmas.
