Road Trip

Did she make The Windy City on schedule?
She did, and 'Draah, Chef, Lexie and I had a nice time Tuesday night, just chatting. Wednesday, we went to the top of John Hancock, saw a Chihuly installation at the Conservatory in Grant Park, and has a brief, late afternoon swim (wade) in Lake Michigan at North Avenue Beach. Big fun.

Thanks for the update, kotori.

I was concerned that the trip might prove to be too grueling for her or the car.

Believe it or not, they're in a late model minivan, belongs to the parents of one of the co-travellers who's delivering it to the opposite coast. So that isn't a problem.

I do believe, however, they're all getting a lesson in testing friendship in close quarters. It'll pass.

That's no Idaho & a lot of corn stalks. ;) You have no idea.

You'll remember it, though.

I'm thinking of a Steven Wright joke... "Last summer my friend & I drove cross country. We divided the driving equally- we switched every half mile. We only had one tape...

But I don't remember what it was.;)

How about them corn stalks?
