Rittenhouse Trial is Effectively Over

Oh my:

BREAKING: Judge slams prosecutors for trying to use Rittenhouse's right to remain silent against him
"You are already, I was astonished, when you began your examination by focusing on the defendant's post-arrest silence. That's basic law, it's been basic law in this country for 40 years, 50 years," the judge said.

That prosecutor has a reputation for stupid. First he calls witnesses that destroy his own case and then starts a confrontation with the judge? Is he actually trying to force a mistrial? To what ends? So he can decline to prosecute a new trial and maybe save some face? Mind boggling.

He knows this trial is lost, and his only hope to put KR behind bars is a retrial.

They should pipe in the song “Proud to be an American” after the Not Guilty verdict is read and people leave the courtroom.

The judge could rule a mistrial with prejudice, or order a directed verdict in favor of KR.
