RIP Dom DeLuise

I'm saddened to hear this. We are losing too many of our comedy greats with no one on the horizon to fill their shoes. Maybe that is the way it's supposed to be. He could make me laugh til I cried.

That could also be said of actors as well. Gone are the days of truly talented actors for what passes as "brain pudding" today. While we do have a few current day folks who can emote their way out of a paper bag, the vast majority are relegated to daytime soaps, court tv, and "reality" tv, none of which constitute any real acting, only the promotion of misbehavior and deviancy.

Dom was always one of my favorites, a truly great human being as well as a funny man. His son Peter will also go far, not so much as a performer, but he's an excellent writer and director with his fathers wit.
