Enough farting about for me (for now, anyway), I need to throw myself completely into my writing again. I've yet to finish my Nude Day Contest entry and the deadline is looming.

I need to get disciplined. Are you a disciplined writer? If so, how do you maintain the focus. Is it purely because of your love of writing, or the need to do it? Any other reasons?

I have so much on the go right now and it isn't getting written. If anybody catches me mucking about, tell me to get back to writing. Please?

Ahm ... no ... I am not a disciplined writer. If so, I would have written tons of books so far . And I wanted to ask people that myself. How are they maintaining focus?

Oh yes, I'm very disciplined. That's why I have tons of stories posted. No, I haven't been working on ONE story for the past 2 years!

I'm good at disciplining people, though, so if you need it, give me a call. It will be fun, helpful, and yet another way to keep my mind off writing.

Disciplined? Yes, quite, ahembullshit....I have about five different stories on the go at the moment and not one iota of motivation to pick one of them up. I keep putting off my current story by surfing the internet, and I keep procrastinating by telling myself that I'll start in a little while.

I like to say to myself: I'll just surf for a while and start to write on the hour.

And then I get distracted with something and next I know it's 2:05 and then I need to wait til 3:00 to start writing.

I am a horribly UN-diciplined writer right now. But it seems to come and go. When I really into the story I am writing I find time all over to work on it. But when I'm stuck or without inspiration is when I tend to procrastinate.

For the series I'm currently working on, I banged out chapters 1-3 in about a week or two. Now chapter 4 has taken 2 months. I just can't seem to end it right and as a result it just keeps getting longer. It's up to about 35 pages or so, I really have to kill it soon. It's making me a little discouraged so I have been avoiding it a little. Just picking away at it.

But when I'm on a roll, I usually like to write with some kind of background activity going on. A silent room gives me the creeps. I plunk the laptop and me on the living room floor, put a DVD I've seen a thousand times into the player, (gotta be something you've seen too much so you won't have any great urge to watch it) and type away.

You know you're doing it right when you have to get up and change DVD's a couple of times.

I'm the same in the respect that I need something on in the background and much watched DVD's is a good one. Right, I'm putting on Blade and getting into the groove.
