Big Dawg hope your day at work is short and sweet. I must say how delighted I am to return to the Rooftop to see the overall increase of testosterone. Poor Ari used to have to contend, sometimes on his own, with all of these lovely ladies and I am sure it was an overwhelming and daunting task.
BTW, does the captain still come up to the Rooftop once in a while?
Welcome Kell! I rather feel like a newbie again myself. Good to see another new face. I must recommend the cappuccino. Turk makes the best.
Snork--I did choose my name with the dark lady of the Arthurian legends in mind. Something very sensual in the sound of the name. Of course, you'll find that I'm not QUITE as much trouble as the famed Morgana could be.
I am a huge mythology buff so I've been enjoying the Greek gods thread. I considered making an appearance as Aphrodite but it already seems like you have some excellent things going and I wasn't certain if someone was already committed to playing the Laughter Loving Goddess. Keep me posted if you need her. I love the references you've used to the Adonis myth. Was his mother Symrna? I recall something about a tree but cannot remember the entire myth.

July 10th thru the 31st.
I may be able to get online a few times but I'm not counting on it.
My friend says Internet connections are not dependable in Costa Rica.
I will probably wrap up posting a few days before I go since the last day or two will be very hectic.
I wont be ending any of my threads...just let them hibernate and we'll see about waking them up again when I get home.
The Roof is a wonderful place because of all of you!

Turk baby, I would like a Coconut Rum and pineapple juice, please. Whew! The sun was brutal today and only 3 kids showed up for their sailing lessons. Needless to say, it was an easy Saturday afternoon spent mostly in the water splashing and dunking each other.
Soli, I owe my perkiness to Starbucks. I have a Venti every morning and usually have a Frappuchino for lunch. Sometimes I will stop for a Cafe Mocha for dessert. Addicted, moi? Naw

You are going to see Massenet's "Thais?" *wails pitifully* I LOVE that opera. I even thought about doing a Thais and Athanael thread here. I have the recent recording with Fleming and Hampson. So lush. So French. So damned sexy. The final duet is nothing short of spectacular. I am very very jealous.
You must give me ALL the details. Who is in the cast? Can I fit in your suitcase?

Soli--"Boheme" is one of my favorites, too. I sing Musetta because my voice is too small for Mimi. Actually, I barely get away with Musetta but her music is just beautiful. "Quando m'en vo" is so lovely. Marcello didn't stand a chance. If you like "Boheme," try Puccini's "La Rondine." It's one of his lesser known operas but you will instantly fall in love with Magda's aria, "Chi bel sogno di Doretta."

"Quando m'en vo" is so lovely. Marcello didn't stand a chance. If you like "Boheme," try Puccini's "La Rondine." It's one of his lesser known operas but you will instantly fall in love with Magda's aria, "Chi bel sogno di Doretta."

Sorry everyone, I'm just exhausted after taking care of my three furry babies. Everyone's home and doing fine but. . .the girls don't all get along and they all need to be walked. . .on a leash. . .seperately! Not to mention all the various vials of pills and potions I have to administer throughout the day. There is to be no roughhousing, jumping, running, and. . .no Pool for the baby for the next two weeks!!! I think that's going to be harder on me than on poor little Zona. Oh! And to top things off, our a/c conked out this afternoon and it's about 90° with 100% humidity. Of course both my children ditched me for better things to do and Hubby's going to be sleeping with the three boys on the kitchen floor if he doesn't get his arse in gear and start helping me out a bit here! HELP!!!
Everyone is sleeping now and I thought I'd pop up and see how Rick's was doing. Wow! I had to stroll back 3 pages and I was just here yesterday afternoon!

Good Evening from the kamakazi gardener. More landscaping today, but I did stop after 5 hours. Hot and humid here too Star. God, but I hate hot and humid! Good lucky with your fur babies. We've got 3 cats, been there done that, got the tee-shirt. Then they reward you with absolute devotion and you wonder if you do enough.

Sneaking in at 2000th! Whooohoooo!!! Can you believe I made it to 2000?

Seriously, Lit has opened my eyes and changed my life. I’ve discovered a few things about myself during the past 2000 posts.
First, I love writing. I love the process of creating, plotting and weaving words into stories.
Second, I made some wonderful friends. Though I’ve never seen your face or don’t know you in RL, it doesn’t take away the fact you guys are wonderful people. I feel like I can come to you with good news, bad news and idiosyncrasies and not be afraid of being judged.
Third, I don’t know anything about sex! <chuckle> After reading the stories here, I’ve discovered I am naïve. There is a world out there, I’ve yet discovered. People to meet, positions to try, erogenous areas to discover. I must start exploring!
Ok, enough with my speech. Let’s start the festivities! Drinks are on me. Yes, I meant it literally. <wink> I think I mix well with a nice port, don’t you? <grin>
