Do you respond? Or do you delete it? Or do you save it? Or do you forward it to someone who it seems more appropriate to be receiving it?

(And--more importantly--it seems I get a disproportinate number of these things--please tell me I am not alone here.)

Used to be, I would get loads of the same crap on AOL--I changed my profile to state that I was a 70 year old wart covered, bald, incontinent man.

Seems all the teeny-bopper types who like to randomly IM females were no longer interrested in me. Perhaps I should change this one too.

I typically use my main account now just because of all the intrusive messages that come through--too bad--i have my BDSM Blondgirl one set up just for meeting others who are like minded. (Not to locate "dates" though.)

I think I've had a handful of random PMs (one just had the word "hi" in it, from someone I'd never heard of). The most recent ones have been from some guy who must have been ditched by a girl he was having some sort of incest fantasy with. He now thinks I'm her and sent me a couple of creepy messages calling me by her name etc. And in that case I decided not to just delete him or block him, but to tell him he had the wrong person politely and hope that ends it.

With guys just looking to quickly hook up, I'm not sure I'd even answer.

I don't have this problem with pm but do with ICQ and my email address. Sometimes it depends what mood I'm in as to how I respond. Sometimes I 'play' with their small minds, coming back with the type of email they have sent me but making it obvious I think they are a 'buttwad' or else I reply politely saying no thanks. Don't take it personally there are perverts all over the net. And some hope that their crude pm's, emails etc might lead them somewhere!
