Rylee Reynolds
Age: 24
Occupation: Eleventh grade social studies teacher
Rylee looked over the classroom before. 32 pairs of eyes stared back at her. 32 pairs of eyes filled with hatred, distrust and anger. Inner city youth, gang members, abused children. Almost every child there had some kind of a messed up background. Dark eyes, light eyes, a mixture of races sat before her.
She shook herself out of her stupor. It was her second week on the job. Her second week of teaching ever. Already she had seen fights, arguments, drugs in the hallways... Things she had never been exposed to before. It broke her heart.
She sighed and turned back to the chipped chalkboard before her and began writing what she wanted the children to copy down. She knew 9 out of 10 wouldn't though.
As she began to write she heard a commotion in the hall.
"WHERE IS THAT MOTHERFUCKER!? Where IS HE?!" a deep voice was shouting.
Rylee glanced towards the for nervously just in time to see it burst open and a huge man come storming in holding a gun. Students shrieked and dove to the floor, Ryle plastered herself to the wall. She heard people in the hallway and screamed for someone to call 911. Just as she did the man in the room shouted.
"THERE YOU ARE YOU PUSSY ASS!!! You wanna fuck my woman?! Fuck you man!!"
This was followed by a deafening gun blast. Rylee screamed as she watched blood spout on the shirt of one of her most problematic students. The man with the gun turned and sprinted away. All of her other students dashed from the room, leaving Rylee alone with the boy. Blood was pulsing from his neck, and Rylee immediately pressed her hand against it as tears rolled from her eyes.
In moments the principal was there followed by several officers in uniform. Rylee was trembling from head to toe as she felt a firm pair of hands pull her away from the boy and out of sight.
"Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god" she kept repeating as the officer pulled her away.
