I totally disagree. I think some people are hesitant to reach out to random strangers on here. This thread is a way to know...hey it's cool to send me a msg and here's a topic.

Agreed - it clears a safe path between "me so horny" and "what did you have for breakfast?".
It also makes it clear who really would welcome a PM, this once.

So, I'll request one... But I struggle to think that what I receive will actually be meaningful. Isn't requesting a PM pretty much like pan handling? Typically just get left over scrapes, pocket change.
