Republicans

HAHAHAHAHA! I love this, really good.

I wouldn't be so sure he's joking. I've seen enough of Dumpington's nonsense to know he probably doesn't understand that a senator cannot be impeached.

To be fair, his beloved Dolt 45 doesn't know that either.

You need to pay attention to the news, YDB95 - this is all serious stuff - Adam Schiff argues that by denying his House managers a chance to hear from John Bolton in the impeachment trial, those Republicans in the U.S. Senate are all guilty of "contempt of congress," and he says he will subpoena all fifty-one of them to appear before the House to explain their actions before his committee!

And unless they then confess their guilt under oath, he says he will immediately launch impeachment proceedings against each & every one of them. The four Democratic U.S. Senators running for the presidency are all supporting Schiff's move, but they say it will have to wait until the primary season has ended, as they cannot afford anymore time away from the campaign trail! Schiff says he'll do his best to accomodate them, adding that if any one of them wants to make him their running-mate he will accept!

All I'll say is, there are a lot of really sick in the mind people that are walking around and need help bad. Schiff is one of them, along with half of the rest of the DUMBocrats.

I do pay attention to the news. Schiff never said anything about "impeaching senators", and I note without surprise that no one here provides any links to any evidence of him saying so.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if whatever right wing source Dumpington is plagiarising from these days has made that claim. But it's baseless as usual. Trump, on the other hand, really did call for impeaching Sen. Mitt Romney, evidently unaware that you can't impeach a senator: https://www.sltrib.com/news/politics/2019/10/05/president-trump-calls/

Republicans only complain about deficit spending when a Democrat is president. When a Republican is president it is always a good time to cut taxes.

Republicans do not want to find out. That is why they do not want anyone else to testify.

The Dems made such a solid case, why would they need to trump up more purgerists to claim somebody told them that some other guy felt deeply in his heart that something was wrong?

It's the Democrats who wanted witnesses. It simply does not stand to reason that the Republicans would vote against having witnesses if they believed said witnesses would exonerate Trump.

There were no witnesses. It was all hearsay. I'd the people that "testified" in the house hearings were good enough to send the articles, then those are the only ones you need.

Yep, it's all part of everyone knows he's guilty as hell. By stonewalling as he does, he proves he's guilty as hell and knows it.

Everyone else knows he's guilty, but I honestly don't think he does. Narcissists never think they're in the wrong about anything.

Since Donald Trump was sworn into office I've heard Republicans proclaim that collusion isn't a crime, fraud isn't a crime, sexual assault isn't a crime, perjury isn't a crime and lying to the FBI isn't a crime.

Once upon a time, didn't the Republican Party claim to be the Party of Law and Order? How did they become the Party of Obstruction and Cover-Ups?

For the rest of my life, I don't ever want to hear another Republican lecturing anybody about morality or Law and Order. The Party of Trump has lost all credibility on those matters.

Trump is desperate to keep the truth from coming out. He's hiding dozens of documents and ordering witnesses to keep their mouths shut. This is the exact opposite of what an innocent person would do!

In layman's terms this is what is known as a tacit admission of guilt.

PFB complains: "In layman's terms this is what is known as a tacit admission of guilt."

YDB95 adds: "Yes, by a man who knows the jury is going to acquit him no matter what."

You two are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! The ONLY way Trump avoids being convicted by the U.S. Senate will be if the Democratic Party puts clownish-pinheads in charge of prosecuting at the president's impeachment trial!

PFB says: "I don't ever want to hear another Republican lecturing anybody about morality or Law and Order."

And if we DO lecture you, are you then going to bring impeachment charges against us?

YDB95 suggests: "Everyone else knows he's guilty, but I honestly don't think he does."

What TRUMP believes isn't going to decide this case - it's what the U.S. SENATE believes! And Trump will only win if the Democrats prove to be too STUPID to put together a proper case by having enough witnesses & evidence lined up before bringing it in for a trial!

No the only way he avoids being convicted is if the republican dominated senate votes to do so based on partisan political concerns rather fulfilling the oath they took at the start of the trial to be fair and impartial jurists over the matter.

And if we DO lecture you, are you then going to bring impeachment charges against us?

How would we impeach you? You don't hold public office, do you?

I believe that didn't even matter. The verdict was long decided before the house started the impeachment inquiry.

ALL ONE-HUNDRED U.S. Senators took solemn oathes NOT to show any bias in the president's impeachment trial - INCLUDING FOUR SENATORS who are currently running for president AGAINST Donald Trump! They are all LIARS who should be prosecuted for perjury! Everybody knows that Sanders, Warren, Klobuchar, & Bennet will vote to convict Trump simply because they ALL want his job!

How can ANYBODY argue that those four will be impartial jurors? They're all crooks & liars!

You don't believe me? WATCH HOW ALL FOUR OF THOSE LIARS VOTE this week!

"You don't hold public office, do you?"

If I was going to be impeached, I'd want it to be done by complete dumbasses who would file their charges against me WITHOUT first getting enough evidence and/or witnesses! And then AFTER they gave the senate the articles of impeachment, only THEN would they begin demanding that the senate give them new witnesses to testify! Like I said... complete dumbasses!

"The verdict was long decided before the house started the impeachment inquiry."

Exactly right - this whole clown show has been a HUGE WASTE of time & taxpayer-dollars, orchestrated by complete dumbasses in the U.S. House of Representatives! The voter backlash against the Democrats this fall will be BRUTAL!

BUSTED: Anonymous tweets reveal a conservative prosecutor’s real views

Everyone has bad days. But when the good days are bad, you know you’re in trouble.

By day, Lauren Brown of Spartanburg, South Carolina was the assistant solicitor of the state’s 7th Judicial Circuit, helping to lock people up at a merciless rate. But by night, she was Twitter handle @TheLillyLawyer, a self-described “baby prosecutor that can always be found below the Mason-Dixon line.”
Brown had been tweeting anonymously as @TheLillyLawyer for several years. Unfortunately for her, she continued doing so after she passed the South Carolina bar exam and became a prosecutor in late 2017. When she had something to say about anyone at work—including magistrates, crime survivors, witnesses, cops and defense lawyers—she made sure to tweet it for

No one really noticed until she said in late January, “It bothers me so much that the defense bar is given every deference in the world, but an officer’s case will be dismissed if he or she is five minutes late to court. Unreal.”

Apparently she no longer works there anymore.

Miami Democrats file bar complaint against Matt Gaetz for his classified facility raid

On Thursday, the Miami-Dade Democratic Party filed a complaint with the Florida State Bar against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), citing the October incident in which he and several of his fellow GOP lawmakers stormed a highly classified information facility during an impeachment proceeding.

“[We have] taken action to hold one of President Trump’s top defenders accountable for violating legal ethics by risking America’s national security to “grandstand” in Congress which entailed breaking into a secure, compartmented information facility, then ordering pizza,” stated the Miami-Dade Democratic Party in a press release.

The @MiamiDadeDems have filed a bar complaint against Florida lawyer @mattgaetz.@RepMattGaetz’s grave misconduct violated the rules of the @TheFlaBar by obstructing the House's impeachment inquiry which the bar previously determined to be subject to its disciplinary process.

When you drive a bulldozer through a swamp you push huge amounts of stinking garbage to be trucked away, dried, shredded and turned into fertilizer, but somewhat thinner, stinking mounds of garbage "draft" in behind.

It often looks just as nasty and the stench sometimes changes, gets more putrid or different odors you never noticed. But enough passes with the bulldozer and all you have left is stinking, muddy water.

Don't worry, Jack. We've got five more years to do this.

Together, we can.

Apart, too, if necessary. It just gets messier.

Decency was essential to the maintenance of the rule of law and governmental functionality in the United States. The election of the most indecent man to ever hold the office of presidency in the modern era was a warning shot across the country. After mocking a disabled reporter, routinely denigrating women and providing encouragement to his "Second Amendment people" if Hillary Clinton became president, he put decency on a gun-range target. What's even more frightening is how quickly his fellow Republicans in Congress and his supporters in the media got in line, rifles in hand, to shoot holes in it.

The recent events of Trump's acquittal in the Senate, his State of the Union address and his spiteful, rambling monologue at the White House on Thursday have collectively acted as the flatline on the heart monitor of decency. As decency dies, American life becomes ever more precarious.

The rule of law is all that separates a democratic form of government from dictatorship. Senate Republicans' refusal to punish an outlaw executive for his brazen violations of law offers a hideous display of American decline, one that Alan Dershowitz, a former Harvard law professor, defended with an invitation to monarchy. The president cannot abuse his power, Dershowitz seemed to suggest, if he is the president.

Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah argued otherwise in explaining his vote for the conviction of Donald Trump. He was the only Republican to do so. Romney not only honored American law, but in referring to his religious faith and the legacy he will leave for his children, eloquently spoke of the importance of decency. He alone in his party acted as if virtue still has any role to play in the stewardship of government, or in arguments about civic life.

For his trouble, Donald Trump Jr. has called Romney a "pussy," and issued a call for his expulsion from the GOP. Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity and other right-wing commentators have echoed the emperor's son with the brilliance of an empty can rattling in a closet. The vulgarity, immaturity and dangerous conformity evident in the rebuke of Romney will earn applause from Republican voters. For half of the electorate, decency is now a third rail.

Worshipful pundits are taking their instruction from the godfather of indecency, Rush Limbaugh. During the State of the Union, Trump awarded the right-wing talk-radio hero with the Presidential Medal of Freedom — a perfect illustration of this administration's willingness to get down on all fours and crawl in the sewer of racism, sexism and mean-spirited degradation.

Limbaugh is a shameless hypocrite who demanded his maid go out to buy dope for him while he broadcasted demands to imprison drug addicts. But what's far worse than his own personal failures is the influence he exerted on American conservatism. He routinely belittled black people and women, telling one African American caller to "remove the bone from her nose" and calling Sandra Fluke, an attorney and women's rights activist who testified before Congress in support of the birth control mandate in the Affordable Care Act, a "slut."

Limbaugh has been a cancer on American culture, not unlike the one that is currently eating through his lungs. When Melania Trump clasped the medal around his neck, she proved that the Republican Party will not only tolerate crudeness and hatred, but reward it.

GOPers claiming Trump learned from impeachment ‘look like fools’ after his ‘crazy-pants’ speech

Appearing on MSNBC on Sunday morning, Washington Post conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin mocked Republican lawmakers — specifically Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) — for defending her vote to acquit Donald Trump in his impeachment trial by saying the president “learned” from the experience.

Speaking with host Ali Velshi, Rubin said any lawmaker who made such a statement looks like “a fool” now considering the president’s demeanor following his acquittal.

They looked like fools when they made their 'excuse' speeches, now they should be unelected to show the nation's disapproval of FOOLS in Elephant garb!

‘I’m very angry’: Rudy Giuliani rages at ‘backstabber’ John Bolton in Fox News meltdown

Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani lashed out at former National Security Adviser John Bolton on Sunday over reports that Bolton’s new book implicates the former New York City mayor in President Donald Trump’s Ukraine scheme.

“There was never such a meeting,” Giuliani said, insisted that he was “not in the room” with the president to witness malfeasance in the Ukraine scandal.

“100%, I never had any such meeting,” he continued. “I do not know what John is talking about and I’m very angry at John because John says I was a hand grenade.”

“He went around my back to the secretary of state and complained,” Giuliani explained bitterly. “I don’t know what John’s up to. He’s either a liar or a backstabber.”

Poor Rudy, being called out as a backdoor Trump Chump.:)
