Reporters Evicted in Tallahassee

I heard on the radio that the reporters that in Tallahassee are being booted from their hotel rooms.

Why?

Well it seems that Florida is playing Florida State this weekend and the hotels have been booked for months so the reporters are out and the football fans are in.

The Red Cross said they will help some of the reporters out.

I heard this too and I think it once again proves a fundamental truth about the south:

Football reigns supreme down here, trumping even the election of a President. We sure do love our college football.

From another perspective, I think this eviction is one of the few things Republicans and Democrats will be able to both take pleasure in for a looooong time. The media is largely responsible for this mess and although there haven't been many mea culpas in the media (hmmmm... wonder why ), deep down I think they know it's their fault.

As much as it would usually pain me to say it... go Gators!
(gotta pull for the SEC in out of conference games)

I have seen the media swoop in and *take over* a town before,,, not a pretty sight. I am somehow tickled that they are getting the heave ho.
