Isn't it reasonable to expect a different kind of cat to play by a different set of rules? Isn't part of the game exploring the boundaries of those rules? How deep is the rabbit hole? What is on the other side? What if it's something you didn't expect? What if it's better? What if it's darker? How do you know it's not something you like? Or even something you wanted and didn't know it? Why can't it be a simply complex exploration of a different space? Does it have to have links to the physical domain? What if everything you ever wanted but never knew you needed was close enough to see but too far to ever touch and still drove you to distraction?

Would all that be worth having rules?

Wouldn't one prefer to be more creative? Bricks just won't cut it for the kind of building you are speaking, correct?
