Yes, it is baseball. It's a lot like cricket except it ends in one day.

Unless the Red Sox play the Yankees, in which case the fucker goes on into the wee hours. They call them the wee hours because when David Ortiz hits that game winning home run in the 13th inning and it is closing in on 1:00am everyone in Boston goes, "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee."

Now, this is one Red Sox fan who is looking forward to a good night's sleep. I can't remember the last time I went to sleep in the pm as opposed to the early am; fucking networks.

I had an idea what this thread was going to be when I saw the title. Well, it's been alomst 24 hours now and the Earth is still spinning on its axis, cats and dogs are not mating with each other, and anything else that Bill Murray said in Ghostbusters.

Everyone around here is wearing a smile, even those who lost money on bets.

Now I'm going to do my Rock impersonation: Finally...the Word Series Championship has come back to Boston.

Now we pack up, move to Chicago, and become Cubs fans. Go Cubbies.
