Hi all. Long time member but haven't posted much. I have a girlfriend that is not very expressive sexually. She has given me the ok to a remote control vibrator to use with her in public. That is huge!! It turns me on so much thinking about me controlling a toy inside her while out in public!! Now the next thing...I don't know which one I should buy. I want one that's not too loud but still powerful. Also not too many crazy settings and of course not overly expensive. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

You get the chance of a lifetime and you want to get off cheap? For shame.

I'm currently thinking of purchasing the Lelo Lyla 2 for my wife. It's not cheap, but it gets many positive reviews which seem to confirm that the build quality is good (very important to me, considering where it would be spending some of its time!) and that it's both powerful and quiet (the latter being a key concern for my wife).

At first, we're likely to restrict use of the toy to our bedroom, as my wife is shy about taking it out and about. Although she can see the possibilities for mutual excitement, I think she's worried that it might cause her to lose control completely and create a scene in public. As I understand it, that's unlikely to happen, although she might find herself having to cope with damp panties.

I'd be grateful to hear any first-hand experiences of this or similar toys, from the point of view of addressing my wife's concerns and/or getting her excited about the potential for fun.

Put her cell phone on vibrate and drop it in her panties.

Then give out her number to everybody at the bar.

The cell phone thing is actually quite popular among the younger generation in East Asia...Apparently, if you look hard enough one will see 18-24 year old Japanese women getting off on their apple or droid.

Caveats:

Don't use it when she is standing up, unless you are holding her.

Don't use it while she is driving.

I remember when safe sex just meant having a padded headboard....

That's certainly a low-cost option -- at least, until the cell phone gets broken. :D

Now you've given me an idea for a game with a remote vibrator: go to a party together and mention to a group of guests that I'm having difficulty with the key fob for my car. I'm sure that some of them would snatch it off me and test it out.

I knew there had to be a good reason why so many waterproof cell phones have been launched this year. ;)

I can understand the driving caveat but, really, is a small vibrator likely to lead to fainting?

In fact, I am quite interested in those! That's probably a topic for a different thread, though (not sure where -- any pointers?).

Get one that doesn't sound like an 18 wheeler barreling down a hill.

It draws the wrong kind of attention.

Don't be surprised if someone tackles her thinking she has a bomb somewhere.

Not overly expensive?
Well, you get what you pay for and if you want a product that will actually have range and do what it's supposed to do, expect to pay at least $100. As for the products, it was mentioned earlier but the Lelo Lyla is a good choice, it comes with a warranty and has a really great range. It's pretty awesome, the settings are amazing and it's pretty easy to use.
Down sides: the remote requires batteries and sometimes it's hard to get the battery cover back on.

WeVibe III, this can be used with a remote or manually, it's formed so the slender part can be inserted inside the vagina and the other end rests against the clitoris. It can be used with a partner, solo use, or as you've suggested. It's pretty versatile and I've actually known a couple that used it as a remote control vibrator in public and they enjoyed it quite a lot. Like Lelo, WeVibe also offers a warranty.
Down sides: some people think that the vibration isn't strong, but I personally think it is.

Another option is the Lelo Tiani 2, which is basically the same concept as the WeVibe but made my Lelo. I haven't seen this product in person but I'm a fan of Lelo so I'm sure it's quality.

I would just suggest doing some research and figuring out what exactly it is you want from the product and seeing what best fits those expectations. If you want it more for the psychological factor then something like this might fit your needs.

This looks interesting

I kind of want to try it.

That's exactly what worries my wife! If the reviews can be trusted, though, then some of the devices (e.g. the Lyla) can be trusted to be whisper-quiet during operation.

My wife and I have a WeVibe III. We enjoy using it together to enhance our lovemaking (although my wife is one of those who doesn't find the vibration as strong as she would like) but our experience suggests that it would be difficult to adopt as a remote control vibrator for out-and-about play. For a start, it would probably be necessary to insert a dildo alongside the WeWibe III in order to keep it in place -- and even then the WeVibe may shift around at inopportune moments. Secondly, the range of the remote control is very short indeed -- we find that it sometimes requires almost point-blank positioning, which isn't necessarily convenient in public.

I'd be happy to tell you more about our experience with it if that's any help.

Any real feedback, ladies and gents? This is subject which intrigues me as well...

Indeed! I imagine that the use of a remote control vibrator is a fantasy that many people must have considered and some have indulged but, as far as I can tell, the practical aspects aren't often discussed openly.

Yes, she should be worried. I have a remote controlled egg thing, but it's really loud (at least to my ears and to the dog's)

So yeah, you have to worry about dog curiosity too.

It's a nice fantasy, but practically it can be difficult to do. Spend extra for the silence and if you can find one, do let me know.
