Peter Daszak is the CEO of EcoHealth Alliance. He was working with the Wuhan labs. This is all documented.

So, your rational and logical wiki is using the word of the guy who is documented to be a proponent of gain of function research, a receiver of pentagon grants and a receiver of NIH money to find dangerous viruses in the wild and study them at a lab in Wuhan China. This is the guy they decide is the paragon of reliable testimony.

The easiest two are that they thought they had it contained to a single area (should have known better but still) or they were treating it as a biological attack on themselves. Which seems unlikely for the exact reasons we're seeing over two years later.
