Relationships : Long term, short term, one nighters

I was wondering as I always do. What kind of relationships in the lifestyle have you maintained and what kind you prevere.

I have had several, well all but two of my adult experiences in D/s and such were all long term. They all lasted atleast 3 years. My last was 8. And I know that if she was not taken from me by a drunk driver we would still be together. I am married, my wife knows and supports me, and I prefer a long term relationship. I have had a few short term and two one nighters. They were fun but if they had been beter they would have turned into long term. I know that really only wanting one partner in this lifestyle is not always what others want. Variety is nice sometimes. I just tend to put a lot of effort into a relationship and trust does not come easy to me.

Yeah, I'm perverting my husband more and more everyday. If I ever get a femsub I'm going to enjoy watching them together. Right now, he says "I don't need that, you're enough for me, she should be just for you" but we'll see. We'll see. (Especially since I get turned on by the idea of flogging her while he services her orally.)

Unsure of the Answers

I'm not sure what the answers to the poll mean. I'm married, we've been together for six years, we're not seeing anyone right now, but we have had long=term and short-term relationships with others in the past, and are looking for someone with which to have a relationship now.

Our preference and plan is marriage/living together and participating in a long term relationship with friends. We have all the pieces in place for these things to happen and are quite happy with it all.

You make me jealous... LOL. But nothing could make me happier, either than a good friend making a good life for herself.

My preference is to live the relationship through it's lifespan/purpose and when the time comes, release it as freely as it was accepted. I am a person that lives in the moment, experiences life fully immersed. Right now there is a short-term/business-like purpose. My ultimate desire though is to have a long term relationship!

In regards to one partner or more than one, my choice in a long term relationship would be dependent upon what we decide together.

I voted for Married, both participating, short term -- it comes closest to what my lover and I are doing. I think.

Technically, I'm in a long term semi-open relationship, with short-to-medium term poly elements (which is also where the D/s comes into play.)

But that wasn't on the list.
