Rekindling in Hawaii (Closed)

Steve took the bowl not worrying about anything being in it other than really hot noodles. He eagerly dove in and ate up slurping all the noodles up and all the broth. It cooked his insides literally and he surpressed it well. "Good noodles. Give my compliments to the cook." He nodded. "Thanks for the noodles and let Chin know about that brother."
He rose to get up....but his head got dizzy and blackness came to him.

 

[Asa]

Kona was about to grab for him when an arm moved from behind her grabbing Steve and hauling him up to his feet and leaned over to Kona.

They will make the noodles on the house but if you have anything you want to say to them I will back it up completely

The Col of all people was right behind them Kona heard what sounded like a gun then the col speaking...

Son did you think I would come here alone? Now I am going to carry my friend here out to that car you see right over there and you all will be beyond polite to this little lady here... or... He just smiled and carried Steve to his car.

Kona looked to her and snarled. Try anything like that with one of mine again Bitch and you won't have to worry about those fake tits half fake hair fake nails and fake nose... it will all be broken and thats if I am in a good mood and don't drag in your brothers...

WIth that she walked out joining the Col and Steve.

The Col helped them with their part of the investigation till one day he walked in looked to Maylea's office and then to the others... Have any of you seen Maylea lately... like the last few days?

Kona paused and began going through records to see when the last time Maylea had logged into the system.

According to this she has not logged into the database in nearly a week.

Steve opened his eyes and was in his house. He looked around and saw Danny sitting at the desk reading...he moaned something...
"Ahh you're up." He pulled out his phone and texted steve;s status to the team and to let everyone know he was awake.
"Probably gonna take a little longer for the effect to wear off, but you're fine. It was an organic toxin that wasn't leathal but it put you out. You just need to rest up. Need anything Steve? "
He just shook his head allowing his thoughts to clear.

 

[Asa]

Once they got texted that Steve was awake the Col showed up.

Had to order food in the middle of enemy territory didn't ya? You should be glad that you failed to realize someone was following you. Get some willing sleep Danny and I have some stuff to talk about with the case.

He motioned Danny into the other room and made sure that Steve was still in bed before closing the door and talking fairly softly.

Has Maylea been here at all? Called... anything?

But the noodles were good sir" He smiled meagerly.


He heard someone asking about if Maylea had phoned. "No she hasn't phoned....ummm...er...why? Isn't she at the office? "

His thought process took a minute then he began to become keenly alert for a little bit.

"What's wrong col, sir."

 

[Asa]

The Col grumbled and looked to Steve as he had turned to find him standing in the doorway.
1 you need to rest and 2 she has not checked into the database in about a week but that doesn't mean that anything is wrong just maybe that she is working an angle of her own case. I will make a few phone calls and see what I can find out now... go rest thats an order.

Steve nodded and then told the team that he was going to take another week to rest up.

Danny rode back with Chin and then Chin's cell phone rang and he answered it. He spoke into the reviecer in Japanese. Danny sharply turned and waited mouthing a "What the hell?

Chin shook his head as if to say not now.

 

[Asa]

The Col made a few phone calls and snarling as he hung up from the last one.

Kona I need to know exactly what she was researching the last time she logged into the database.

He waled into Maylea's office grumbling something about a stubborn pig headed single minded determination reckless then the door closed.

Kona quickly went to work trying to find out what was going on. She looked to the office seeing that the Col was behind closed doors and placed a call to Chin.

We have a problem... Rental car... never returned due yesterday... beyond that she was looking into some pretty heavy hitters.

The brother called Chin... You better keep an eye on that little cuz... and I don't mean Kona bro... too many things been going done that none of us have any claim to...

Chin put the phone down.

Danny asked finally. "So, I knew you and Kona are awesome linguists. But ...what is up?"

 

[Asa]

Chin shook his head. We got big problems Danny... Maylea never returned her rental car nor called to extend her rental. The call I got... The people that Steve and Kona talked to called me... Said we should keep an eye on Maylea... too many things happening that none of the normal suspects are accountable for... They think she is trying to start a war or retaliating for something. Luckily I don't think that any of them know who she really is...

The I hope said it all as he quickly called Kona back.

Cuz trace my backup phone... I am going to call Maylea's number... see if you can track her phone from that.

Danny pondered on the rental car and the whole idea of her starting a war.

"So she's missing? Steve's probably gonna freak. Great. Another blowout. Let's head back to the office."

 

[Asa]

Chin nodded

Kinda makes me wonder why the Col. just happens to be in town and how long he has been here without letting Steve know? Lots of little things starting to really pile up ya know. Although if anyone can keep Steve focused and not flipping out and taking off hunting... I hope its the Col.

No you're right. The Col. will keep steve dialed in and focused. All this stuff is piling up and it's like we're starting to see the tip of the ice berg being discovered.
There's so much more. I can feel it. And I have a feeling it's gonna be bad.

 

[Asa]

A few moments later Kona called Chin again...

A couple of hikers found the car... off the ravine near the old WWII defunct bunker... Meet you guys there I told them not to let anyone but Max touch the car. Chin... there is no way she lost control of a car on a road she knew better anyone.

Thanks for the info Kona meet you there... Taking a deep breath... Does...

She cut him off... Steve knows and and the Col and I are on our way there now.

Chin hung up the phone

Buckle up Danny...

With that said he spun the truck around and started flying down the road getting onto many a back road and "bike trails" as he headed up the mountain. The truck seldom seeing speeds slower than 70 until they got near the old bunker.

Danny almost lost his lunch of shrimp that he was almost getting used to. He white knuckled hand was gripping the handle on the wall of the door. "Could you go any faster Chin? Jesuzzzz!" As they flew over a hill as the truck went airborne and landed continuing it's journey.

As they neared the spot Chin told Danny what he was told.

Danny's mind raced with the new information. He was still getting his head around it when the truck lurched to a final stop and they got out hooking up with the rest of the team.

 

[Asa]

Max was busy inspecting every inch of the car or what was left of it. A fire team was ready in case the car blew but Max told them there was little chance of that. Kona was standing between Steve and the Car with the Col right beside him with a fairly firm grip on his shoulder. Chin headed over.

What ya got for us Max?

Max looked up... more information on when there are people remaining in town that will cause as many messes as it seems to appear that she has.

Fine we will let you know now WHAT have you found Max?

It would appear that the car due to various things the fire department think they have found the car was tampered with but I have pointed out to them that the damage they are seeing could just have likely been caused by the sharp broken stalks of the vegetation as the care plummeted down the hill. However that is not the most interesting part of my findings... Maylea was in the car but she was not alone... There are fibers from the purple dress she was wearing when I dropped off my findings several days ago as well as fibers from what appears to be Military grade black clothing of some kind. As well as traces of blood and small drip trails that lead only a few feet from the car then vanish... though nothing to lend to any other vehicles being here to have carried them away nor the circular pattern of disruption of a helicopter. I can honestly say this would appear to the believer to be alien abduction.

Chin shook his head. Thanks Mac get everything you need back to the lab I want to know who's blood that was yesterday.

Mac started to voice protest and the impossibility of Chins request but quickly got quiet at the appearance of 2 people dressed head to toe in black BDUs with very visible weapons.

The Col motioned Danny over... He tries to get near the car... shoot him in the leg. Then he walked over the two people saluted him and they walked off talking for a few moments.

Danny coughed. "You want me to put a bullet in steve's leg if he goes near the car? Just so we're clear sir."

 

[Asa]

Before walking away with the two soldiers the Col looked dead at Steve as he answered Danny.

Yeah... Especially with what Mac just said... Nothing personal Steve... just need you level headed not worrying...

Steve was getting offended.."Oh come on..like I need a babysitter now sir? Really?"
Danny actually started to realize the implication. "Actually this is the first time I can remember where I am authorized to cause you pain. So steve, hell, go for the car, I'll toss one in ya just right. I figure that'll make us closer to square for all the pain i've been in since I've met you."

 

[Asa]

Kona walked over and glared at both of them.

Fine I will keep an eye on BOTH OF YOU!... The Col was joking or I will put a bullet in him for Maylea... Lets get to the office let the others clear this all up and find out what Mac learns from the blood samples... now... MOVE IT!

Chin just looked to his cousin and nodded turning to head towards his truck.

Lets go Danny

Kona called out to the Col.

Get your own ride back!

As they all moved to the office Danny started making some coffee and offered a round. "anyone for coffee?"


"I'm up for some my little babysitter." Steve goaded.

"Here you are sweety." Danny chidded back.

Kona and Chin just rolled their eyes at the both of them.

Steve looked at the screen and stared.
A missing agent.
Blood.
Abandoned Car.
No trails.
Mob ties.

He tried to process it but nothing yet came.
He then looked over to Kona and asked "So what did the blood samples show?"

 

[Asa]

Kona hung up the phone with Max and had a very confused look on her face.

One blood sample was hers the other was... impossible... It was...

The Col finished her sentence... Akihiro The "late" Yakuza Elder... yes Kona you are right to the world he died 12 years ago...

We have a problem... I will be leaving town for a few days... any and I mean ANY of you try to follow me you will find yourself in a military prison for the rest of your days... I will let you know when I get back... till then... handle your cases and leave Maylea to International... and thats an order...
