Rejection

I agree with you completely on what grabs your eye, so to speak, and I realize that my stuff may or may not be eye-grabbing to a lot of people. I do that myself with pieces of art that I invest in. The dealer I was meeting with was possibly going to display my pieces, and in some form be an agent of mine while my work was up. So I don't know if it was as much of a vested interest as it was more of a possible profit margin.

If you can find Starfish's thread about sharing her art from a few months back, I put some stuff in there.... there's some stuff on my www, too. At the moment, I make a large chunk of my money from interior work, such as borders and walls.

Thanks everybody for your kind words. They mean something to me, and I'm glad you took the time to share your feelings about the subject with all of us.

Myst, one of my friends had much the same problem, and solved it by opening her own small gallery and living above it to save money! She invites other artists to show and holds small openings every month for them.

Your work is good. Thank you for guiding me to your website. I toured around and spent a delicious hour in the Kitchenette! Now my tummy is full and it is time for a bath and then out to enjoy the Fall air.

Any words of encouragement I want to give you have already been given very eloquently (erosman coming closest to what I wanted to say). You are strong and creative and will find your way to bigger and better things. The right situation will present itself for you in time.

This obviously wasn't it! Profit margin...what is that? ;)
