Why is libido a good thing

Just a general question for the general board.

I don't mean for the species as a whole - it helps with reproduction, so in that regard it's a no-brainer.

No, I mean on an individual basis - what benefits does libido provide to an individual person?

How would the life of a person with very low libido be worse than the life of a person with high libido?

I don't think it would be worse. In some ways the life of a person with low libido would be better by not being distracted by sex.
