Is there something in your past you're not proud of? Free your mind and apologize to the universe. Feel free to post as often as you'd like.

I'll begin with this: On the last day of school when I was in sixth grade, I was walking home with a boy I did not particularly like, for earlier I had concocted a scheme. When we got to his turn-off, I said, "Wait. I have something for you," as I reached into my pocket. "Close your eyes and hold out your hand." He did, then I punched him in the stomach as hard as I could. He immediately fell to the ground, and I took off running. I could hear his wails of pain for a full two blocks. I can't remember the kid's name, but I apologize. It was a very terrible thing to do.

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

Always have "regrets", but that does not mean sissy would change a thing except for the stuff sissy can't talk about.

Are we in fucking NA?

Of course everyone has regrets. way too many to go into.

Many years ago, I fooled around with a co-worker. When I got home the next morning, my roommate started grilling me about where I had slept the night before. For some reason, I spilled the beans, instead of telling him, "oh I just hooked up with some girl," or even telling him that I crashed on co-workers couch. I can't say why, but I just had to say what had happened with her.

Roommate was part of a social circle that included many of our other coworkers, and he told them almost immediately, not thinking it was a big deal, since I told him. So she and I got shit and drama for a long time from our other co-workers. She was terribly embarrassed, and was really upset with everyone knowing her business. I apologized for telling roommate, and she and I got on good terms, but I feel like an absolute jackass whenever i think about it.

I was dating a woman. I always told her that she was a good woman, a decent woman, and in a world where everyone seemed to put themselves ahead of everyone else, she was the exception. I loved her dearly and we were engaged. Then I found out that she stole something from me. I really didn't want to believe it at first. Hell, I even questioned my children and my mother about the item. Finally, the proof was so overwhelming that I had no choice but to address it with her. She denied it, of course, and I broke up with her because of it.

A few years later my mother had a double bypass. She thought she was going to die, so she confessed to setting up my fiancée. When I asked why, she said she thought I could do better. Of course I was angry. Livid. "I have never loved any other woman as much as I loved her," I told my mother. "You had no right sticking your nose in this."

By chance, I ran into my former fiancée a few months later. I explained everything that had happened, and although she said she understood, she told me there was no way for us to move forward from this.

As far as matters of love go, this is my biggest regret.

During my 6th grade of school there was a boy with scars on almost 100% of his visible skin. I didn't realize at the time but I'm sure they were burn scars. The other kids picked on him horribly. In high school there was a girl who was probably mentally retarded. Kids were terrible to her also. I regret not standing up for them.

A long time ago, I was dating this girl that was a lot of fun. We had a date this particular night and I called her and asked her to come to my house because I was running late. We both arrived at my house at the same time. I told her I was going to take a shower and asked her to pick out what she wanted me to wear.
When I got out of the shower, there was nothing picked out for me to wear. I thought, this could be a fun moment so, I walked out of my room naked. When she looked up she asked, "what are you doing?" I said, "I asked you to pick out something for me to wear tonight and there is nothing picked out so, I figured, this is how you want me dressed tonight." After a moment, she said "you're crazy". She had a huge grin on her face, grabbed her purse and my arm and said "lets go". When we got to the front door, I chickened out. I got dressed and we went out as planned.
The next day, I asked her where she would have taken her naked man if I had not backed out. She said, "I guess you'll never know."
I never did get her to answer that question and to this day, I regret not walking out that door, completely naked, with her.

hey...

"I maybe crazy but I have my fun!!!"

Hey Timmy E, I'm sorry I got in your way with Barb back in 73'---, but c'mon man,
you couldn't resist her. How did you expect me to?

hey...

Hey Louis Y,
listen cousin, I apologize for kicking your ass for fucking around my wife. Well not so much for what you did but for lying to me and trying to play me for a fool.
I really apologize for scary your wife and kids when I beat the fuck outta you.
But I am glad I slipped on the ice baby, cuz,I was ready to go to sing those Southern Michigan Jackson Blues...
You get me---, muthafucker.

hey...

my crazy hillbilly girlfriend, Sue, I apologize for all the shit I brought to your door because of who and what I was---, you were never ready for all that and I didn't know how to stop.

hey

I apologize to every girl and woman I have had sex with--, I wanted to tell you all how much I loved you at the time---, but could never bring myself to lay bare my need just to touch you.
I had sex with you JUST because I needed you to touch me back.
I have loved you, every one of you beyond measure and without ceasing these years
that have passed.

hey

I apologize to my wife...
for all the times I tried and failed,to tell you of all the other women and why , I 'had' to have them---, because of this damn near all consuming drive to be touched.
I have loved you from forever and I will love you until eternity is washed away.
I have loved you above all others and ALWAYS will.

I started exploring my sexuality and putting myself out there in a promiscuous way when I was 29 years old.
I regret that.
I wish I had started much younger, say at the age of consent!

I broke up with a woman I had dated for over a year. I knew all along that she had kids, but she was careful to not involve them until she felt the time was right, which was about six months into the relationship. It scared me, the idea of being an instant daddy, and I ended the relationship. She was everything a man could want: smart, funny, pretty, well-proportioned BBW, good job (Attorney), I was just too chickenshit to let this good thing happen for me, and I hurt her when I broke up with her.

I've done bad shit that hurt other people, I regret it, but what I selfishly regret is not joining the marching band when I was at university.

Nothing good came from not doing it... I had more time to drink alcohol and drop acid... Don't get me wrong, I'm not against people trying psychedelics, but there's no reason to do as much as I did. :D

Sure.

But I ain't gonna tell y'all about it.

Brief version of the story. Coworker married to a guy named Bernie. Bernie was very nice but had physical problems that prevented him from making a lot of money. He did work. But it wasn't a high paying job. They had a daughter.

Coworker got pregnant again. Bernie was the dad. Now keep in mind this was many years ago and dads didn't have as many rights as they do now. She wanted an abortion. Bernie wanted custody of the baby.

Meanwhile, coworker had an affair with a seedy guy. They were living in a seedy motel and doing drugs. She'd come to work and complain of morning sickness and how she couldn't wait to get Bernie's kid out of her. All of this upset me. I really liked Bernie and didn't like the way she was badmouthing him to everyone.

So I snapped at her. Told her she should have the baby and give it to Bernie then keep the other kid and shut up about it. I didn't know about the drugs at the time. Either way it was a bad situation and I said a nasty thing to her.
