Registration

I vaguely remember reading a few posters awhile back casually mentioning their partners being "registered slaves." I don't really know why it didn't catch my attention then, but it's recently resurfaced because a person I met a few weeks ago and know to be rather heavily involved in BDSM surreptitiously showed me a set of dog tags with a string of numbers on it; he confided, "It's my wife's."

Is there such a thing as registering to be a slave? What is the process one would go through for this, and why would one register? Is there any sort of difference in the reception of a registered slave at, say, munches or play parties? Thanks, all.

I am registered and it is a matter of personal taste I think. For us it was something I suggested and mentioned as wanting to which he agreed in time. I don't know if there would be any difference in reception as we are not that social and don't think to mention it unless it comes up in conversation. The site link will answer your other questions I think. Feel free to PM me if you want to ask me anything else Q. http://www.slaveregister.com/

While I will likely never become his slave, I am definately his sub....and I think the concept of registration is wonderfully appealing. I visited the link and really enjoyed looking at all the registered slaves and subs.

Weddings and rings and all those things symbolize marriage, and while some people may or may not recognize the online registration, I think that it is a pretty cool way to recognize a union like D/s....of course collars and bracelets and other things can do that as well, but I really like the registration concept.

Thanks for sharing that link! I bookmarked it in case we ever get to that point.

i've actually heard of this too. it sounded edgy and seductive (bodily claim, the portable mark of ownership) and then, not comfortingly but suspiciously, like marriage.

i don't know why the idea of "slave registry" is so pleasing to the mind, but it is.

i am not sure if it is a) the act of registering as property of another that pulls at the inner sub or b) the knowledge that a bar code would be tattooed on some part of the body which signifies "owned property."

Yes, i know a wedding ring would be indicative somewhat of the same thing, however, the objectification (oh to be viewed as nothing but property) that rings the submission bells.

Is very pleasing, and for me challenging to not only submit that extra inch to actually have it documented outside our immediate privacy zone, but to also submit to tattoing the physical evidence on my skin which has always been purposely cared for to the extreme and kept free of tattoos for the exact reason that though I admire them on others, they are something I personally do not want on my own body in any form. Giving him the right to mark me in this way with something which objectifies me in such a manner is both frightening and comforting....frightening because of my aversion to tattoos on myself, comforting in that at least it has a purpose besides decoration which may become boring or ugly over time, and it symbolises the position I take in his life which has become the centre of my universe and reason for existing.

See, this is odd. While the idea of renaming a submissive is interesting to me, I am feeling zero attraction towards the thought of using a slave registry. Is it the difference between external announcements and private interactions? Is this appealing to exhibitionists? I am only trying to understand.

Not sure I can adequately explain it. Master was initially not keen on my having a number displayed so to speak, but that has changed as the relationship has deepened and our direction become more a reality than an aim. He never had a problem with registering me as his owned property, and it seemed to be part of who we are, what we wanted. It would be even better IMO if it was a set organisation you could guarantee was not going to disappear overnight, but that is likely hoping for too much with the laws we have. It seems the next best thing to know there is some form of registering me as his property.

It really has nothing to do with exhibitionism for us as no-one is likely to ever know unless we tell them. Hopefully one day, I will wear my number permanently somewhere on my body when he feels the timing is right for us. It is just another level of the ownership, and the total exchange of power. Admittedly, there are others who see it as nothing more than a fad, or something daring to do on the spur of the moment, but I think for many in M/s relationships it does hold deep significance, as deep as if it were a legally binding registration, as in our hearts it does symbolise the permanence of the agreement we made when I became his.

I am a registered slave and the number is tattooed on me.

To us it has nothing to do with being exhibitionistic. It is just a very clear sign that I am property. We enjoy the thought that I am literally like a pet: an owned animal. Pets are registered (Which is for tax reasons but never the less they are registered as property), cattle are branded, dogs receive a tattoo or a chip with the information about who their owner is and such … and for the same reason, I am registered and tattooed.

Is just a nothe from that tells people that you belong to his or her and that to let all know in the life style you are taken . As some one that goes to clubs and look for owner ship it helps out some times .

Hm though I want to do this with Dusty yet am unsure which to use for Dusty is in the process of transitioning from female to male yet will never be fully male because the stupid surgeries are outragous that and we don't want to have the final one for it is pointless if you can't feel pleasure. They like need some way to register other or something lol
