Is Idaho the only state doing this? No I haven't done this as of yet, there are still sites not forcing this, no big loss yet, so far, however, I no longer go to pornhub or sex.com as they make you register. I don't need family accidentally going to my emails on the computer and seeing registry verification from porn web sites acknowledging I am now verified to look at pornhub, for example, nor to be fodder and put on a watchlist of some sort because the government watchdogs see I verified. Nothing I view is of illegal nature, I like adult porn, but it's not their business. It's my business, and mine alone, it's just age verification, right? No, it's government over reach,

Florida and Virginia, too. Basically states with neo-facist administrations and/or legislatures.
If _rump gets elected, abandon all hope. Wealthy white guys will be wilding in the streets, while 'normal' folks will have the gestapo monitoring their living rooms and bedrooms.

I have noticed this on Xhamster, stating that I needed to register for Nebraska........funny thing is I'm not in Nebraska

You can download a VPN app for free to get around it. Kind of a dumb law when there's such an easy workaround.

But clearly it is, now. At least, it's illegal to view it in Idaho without registering. Or depending on how the law was written maybe what's illegal is for sites to serve it to Idaho people without them registering.

So yeah, there is an illegal nature to what it is you want to view. If you don't want to register and want to view it anyway, then you want to view it in a way that's illegal in your jurisdiction.

I'm not saying "don't get a VPN," I'm not saying "don't subvert and break this stupid law." I'm saying you're wrong about "no illegal nature."

This is how the slippery slope begins. They make something illegal in a way such that people don't recognize that it's happening.

As I understand it, the point is to prevent underage access to porn sites.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried using a different email account for such things?

Utah is the same way. Dammit

I haven't seen this yet here in Oklahoma. I am on xHamster, and so far no registration is required.

Utah I believe was the first to push it and then those with seriously religious people (control) based on the youth problems made it through most of the USA state government.

Pornhub clearly states that they're not even offering an ID verification in Kansas. They are not allowing any Kansas IP addresses to have access. Others still want verification. Others are ignoring it, and that's when I get to see videos and such. I'm not sending a photo of my drivers license to any porn site - noping that one quickly.

Daddy's back in the White House! Fight, fight, fight!

This is one of the reasons for Lit's picture rules.

Sites like this aren't usually restricted due to the nature of the site being primarily literature.

they’ll ban literotica too. It’s never been about protecting people, it’s been about having a target for their base to be angry about.

Transgender issues is the #1 example of that. Transgenders are a vanishingly small percentage of the population, and are one of the most murdered demographics in the US and the world. Yet you’d think that they were roaming the streets in wild packs based on how the conservative media paints them.

So yeah, once they take out the major porn sites, they will absolutely go for literotica.

It’s pretty shit, frankly. Trump was elected on the backs of young men who are being taught to suppress their sexuality and ONLY embrace the most heteronormative and religious views on it. No Nut November, banning porn sites, GamerGate, etc, it’s all a forced agenda to try and push their views on sex far back to the right. It’s incredibly destructive, but expect it to continue getting much worse over the next four years.

Whoever said this site is next after the porn sites is absolutely correct. Then start expecting any media with nudity or sexually explicit content to be completely banned. It’s coming.

I wouldn’t blame the young men… they’re ultimately still a smaller part of the voting pool. He was elected on the backs of seniors who see (R), thinks “lower taxes, fuck the rest,” and then go one living off their now-endangered social security and Medicare.

I honestly hope that Trump does everything he has promised to do. He’s on track for fucking shit up in ways that our enemies never could have managed. I want those who voted for him to get everything Trump has promised.

While I totally understand and can almost agree with the sentiment, the only problem is that we ALL get fucked in the process. By the time everyone has realized how bad it’s gotten, it will take years and likely decades to undo the damage.

But oh well. I guess everyone can enjoy going back to seedy adult bookstores and reading harlequin novels in the shadows.
