My dad's surgery went very well. :) :rose:  :)

If he passes physical therapy tomorrow, then he can come home tomorrow night! They went in through the front of the hip, so the incisions are much smaller, less muscle and tissue is cut and recovery is a lot quicker!

I hope everyone has had a good day!

updownleftright quick prayer to the patron saints..

Today's surgeries tend to be as invasive as possible. The smaller the damage to the patient, the quicker they can heal.

I'm happy to hear your father is doing well Red :rose:

Good luck to your dad RED. They found out a few days ago my dad has osteoperosis (doubt that's how you spell it) in his one hip, the one they fixed some years back.

I don't use Mozilla - I found it highly succeptible to Malware.

My day was okay, but longggg ....

Thanks Brett. Good luck to yours as well.

Today I'm gathering my great nieces together and spending the day with them, one is two, another is one, and the last will be one in a week. :D

About to head out to an animal swap but wanted to post this cause it was a bit amusing.

Latest story besides the Earth Day one is an essay on Monsanto and diversity of crops, lol it got rejected not because of any issues with the essay but Laurel was asking for it to be submitted for the Earth Day contest. Resubmitted for the contest, why not, but just thought it was a really amusing reason for a rejection.

Big day!

I'm out and about, in public. I didn't cough up a lung on a walk this morning, so I climbed a bus and went to a mall. Now, sitting in a Starbucks, writing. Whoohooo

That is very funny! Even as a contest entry, you can still put it in the Essay and get points, if you already have one for the contest. Hey, and it'll get posted faster! :D

Good Afternoon all

Good evening. :)

Nice to hear!

My day consisted of taking daughter #2 to work, visiting my parents and sister, birthday party for one of my great nieces, and then grocery shopping for supper. We had nachos made with these new Tostito artisian recipe: Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Salsa. They tasted like a milder flavor of Doritos.

Happy Easter. :rose:

I'm up way too early! Our sunrise service is at 7 this morning, followed by a breakfast. My 19, 18, and 14 year old kids are hunting eggs this morning before we go to service. Yes, those ages are correct. lol The girls colored 18 eggs last night and I made up some Easter "ziploc" bags at the last minute. :D

Hello gorgeous :rose::rose:

Just been looking for you on face****. I was sure I had you but now I can't find you  We are making plans for next year's BIG trip and need all; the help we can get!! And to find out just where peeps are so we can visit....

Evening!

Red I'm glad your dad did good in surgery.
I'm in NC visiting my uncle who is in hospice. I really tried not to break down and cry, but saying good bye for the last time and I just bawled. We all have been pretty somber.

Makes me pretty reflective about life. I think I'm going to drive most of the way home.

My condolences on your uncle SCENT.

I have a dear friend who lives in NC and their home just burned to the ground a few weeks ago. They're all safe and now in Maryland (her husband has another home there) but it will be a long time before they can go back to their real home. Makes you thankful for small mercies, I suppose.

Luckily her husband is very well-to-do and there is no doubt the insurance will kick in quickly (a neighbor's house caught on fire and it spread to theirs) so I am sure they will be back sometime in summer. He thinks the end of May but I think he's kidding himself. What is sad is all the personal mementoes she had of her family are, for the most part, gone.
