Recycled & Overwhelmed

I love the stories at Lit and decided to make an account and meet others on the forums... except I'm a little thrown off at how big the community is! I've been to other forums but mostly small sites, so this is kind of overwhelming.

I'd like to become an active, regular member here, so does anyone have suggestions as to where I should start?

The playground was a good place to start from me (in fact its the only place ive posted thus far LOL).

All you gotta do is read the stuff, and if you have something to say, then just post it. Of course it may get lost in the ocean of posts, but someone would surely notice it. If you have a story, the site will post it in the new story section of the site. Someone WILL read it.

Of course PM'ing someone with questions can also help. If nothing else, finding and contacting a mod never hurts.

I think this is probably the perfect place to start, it's certainly where I began. My first Frisson thread (which was started much like this one) ended up running for around 4 months and stretched to around 100 pages, if I recall correctly. During that time, lots of people dropped in to say hi and introduce themselves....

and they became very good friends, most of them. Welcome to the boards, I shall do what most other people are doing now and go read your profile, but while I do that perhaps you'd consider telling everyone a little about what brought you to Lit in the first place?

The Darkroom threads are also a fun place to step in and start posting.

I personally enjoy the How To threads the most...they make me feel like I know something when I give my thoughts and opinions to questions asked . I also learn a lot reading those threads, too.

I agree that the Darkroom and the Playground are great places to begin. Post to the threads that interest you. The Playground has lots of "game" threads and is quite fun. If you enjoy looking at pictures, check out the Erotic Pictures thread on the Playground. Or head over to the Amateur Picture Forum.

Don't be afraid to be active. Most don't bite - except if you ask them! Just be sure to have fun and enjoy yourself. Don't do anything you don't want to do. You'll meet some great people on Lit. I know I have. I love making friends and this has been a good place to meet them. It's also a great place to play out your fantasies.

There's not really a lot to say about myself. I'm eighteen, live in NYC; I dorm at college and I'm a psych major. I love reading the stories on Lit (because let's be honest, they're so much more eloquent and enticing than college guys). I'm not really looking for anything on here except maybe a few new friends And that's kinda it.

Welcome to Lit Lily. You have already started meeting people by just posting. Keep on posting your thoughts, PM a guy if you want to get to know him better and you will have a good time here. It can be a transient place, people coming and going but some people have been here for years and have made thousands of posts. Good luck.
