Is it possible to record webcam chat? Also, is there a place for trading recorded videos?

You can record yourself, or ask your chat partner to record themselves, then ask for the file and permission to post it on a website.

Or do you want to do it without their knowledge/permission?

If so, you're a scumbag, and I doubt you'll get any help with something that's illegal and unethical here.

is anyone really surprised that it is done? I'm always surprised at the pictures and videos people will share on the internet. Assume that everything you share is making some russian pornographer money.

You're right, and no, I'm not surprised it's done. That's why I'm very careful about what I share and who I share it with.

No, I assure you . . I am not the scumbag. I am concerned because I have been going on cam and I am starting to get the "heebie jeebies!"

Just concerned about the person on the other end being able to record without my knowledge and wondering if there was a way to protect myself.

There's software for recording (nothing free, from what I saw, but it's not too expensive either), and sites for trading, I'm sure. Google is your friend.

And I'd suggest not camming with random people; keep it for trusted friends who also have a cam, so you can at least see what they're up to while you're on. Don't do anything you're not comfortable having in public/online. Most people are probably honest, but you can't count on that.
