I just read Jfinn's masterpiece "The Human Condition". THAT's the writing style and tone I like. Its perfect. For those who've read it, can you make any suggestions of other stories here at Literotica? Not necessarily gay, infact the theme is probably irrelevent. (though I'd be REALLY sceptical if someone directed me towards a BDSM story...) Its the atmosphere that's important.

I know minsue's a fan of JFinn's work. Perhaps she'll have a suggestion. :)

Good luck.

No pressure, eh Luckster? :D

I'll PM ya, Yeti. ;)

Edit: Or not. You don't take PMs? How do you get your dirty messages fix? :p

Sorry, min. Actually, I just saw jfinn posting a few minutes ago. Maybe she'll know of some authors with similar style and content.

No sorries necessary, sweets.

Minsue

Was that email you sent me from you, Minsue? I'm checking them out now. Anyone else have suggestions? I'm all ears.

Sheesh, turn my head why don't ya? :cathappy: Thank you so much for saying this and for the email you sent--which I wanted to respond to but couldn't for lack of an addr.

As for stories, I probably won't be much help because I haven't been reading on this site (or anywhere else) much lately. The last really great story I read here was CarsonShepard's Between Want and Need. If you haven't read that you're in for a real treat.

BTW, one of my favorite romantic stories features bondage. :p It's also a comedy so go figure. It's not on this site though so if you want the URL, PM me or something.

Jayne

PS. minsue, just thought you'd like to know I've finally gotten back to Amy and hope to have it finished this week sometime. Sorry I made you wait.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

You're welcome

My address is yeti8080[AT]yahoo.ca . Hope to hear from you. I did read the first page of the prologue "Between Want and Need", though I didn't quite get into it. I found the prose elegant but the dialogue fairly rudimentary. Maybe I'll give another shot a little later.

Woohooo! You're finally finishing it :nana:

Thank you for the compliment! I'm a huge fan of The Human Condition myself.... I think it's one of the best, if not THE best, story on Lit.

I write my dialogue the way my ears hear people speak. Thanks for giving it a try :)

Yeah, lol, I'm finishing it. I think the inspiration came from the the three emails I received last week from readers threatening to finish it for me. Not that that might not be fun to read, but what if they did a better job?

Thanks about HC. That's another story I need to get off my ass and work on. At least though with that one I stopped at a point that made sense. However I've got to confess I never even got to the main plot. Originally Mike and Joe were supposed to get together in a chapter or two and then go on from there. Unfortunately they had other ideas.

Jayne

PS. Your ears hear just fine. ;)

Great, I'll find the link and send it to you.

I can't wait to see what the main plot is, if that was just a subplot!

My characters in this project I'm working on now will never do what they're supposed to do. I'm already a chapter into a subplot I never saw coming

Sounds like your characters are pushy bastards just like mine.

NO WAY!!! You're telling me there's more to HC???? Oh goody goody goody...Yes, I thought there was a hint of something unflinished about it. There was definately room for more. Your characters are simply too wonderfully lovable. I have a suspicion that you put enormous amount of time constructing them before you even began writing the stories. One question, though: In the prologue-plot, who IS the couple that Mike and Joe are going to see a ballgame with? Is it Betsy and her husband? Its really baffling me.

By the way, carsonshepherd, your story "Whole Heart" is really a classic. Love it. Courageous too. Historicals can be tricky.

Heh. Notice I relied on mood and put in hardly any historical detail? ;)
