Reasons women love men...

1. They've got that comfortable place on their shoulder that's perfect for snuggling into while we fall asleep.

2. They're at peace with their bodies, except for maybe some minor anxiety over height, weight, and baldness.

3. They're enthusiastic about our bodies, even when we're not.

4. They fall in love so hard, once they finally fall.

5. Chest hair, forearm hair and the feel of a newly shaved cheek.

6. Bravery around snakes, waterbugs, bats and flat tyres.

7. Their unapologetic lust for a nice hunk of beef or chocolate cake.

8. Their ability to solve problems simply by throwing a ball around.

9. The glimpse you get, when they wear their baseball cap backward of their inner Little Leaguer.

10. How tender they get when they cry, and how seldom they do it.

11. What they lack in talk, they tend to make up for in action.

12. They make excellent companions when driving through rough neighborhoods or walking past dark alleys.

13. They really love their moms. They remind us of our dads.

14. They don't mind accompanying a woman to a party even though she looks like a movie star and they look like the chauffeur.

15. Their near-endless appetite for discussing the ins and outs of work and money - ours as well as theirs.

16. Their genuine ardor for tinkering with toilets, changing oil and assembling gas grills - jobs any intelligent woman can do but would be nuts
to volunteer for.

17. They never care what their horoscope, their mother-in-law, nor the neighbors say.

18. They rarely lie about their age, their weight, or their clothing size.

19. How awestruck they are in the face of a homemade cookie.

20. How great their hands look holding ours.

21. Their face is a treasure to behold when they give us a present they picked out.

22. Their ignorance is usually amusing.

23. They have a great sense of competition.

24. They give great hugs, ( and always melt our hearts when a sweet "I love you Princess" is added)

25. Though they often try to hide it, they're very tenderhearted and caring.

26. They have an uncanny ability to look deeply into our eyes and connect with our heart, even when we don't want them to.

27. They don't care whether colors match, but are willing to be concerned if we want them to be.

28. They can be taught.

29. They give us a peek at the little boy inside when they get sick or happy or hurt.

Not sure how much of that is universally true, but some of it is, and it's nice to know that some women DO appreciate us. Being bashed gets old at times. :rose:

I think that deep inside, you are truely a romantic.

PS~

You made many points that ARE nearly universal among most of the guys I know.

And even the things you said that are obviously geared toward your bf apply to many men I know.

All I can say is: Thank you for taking the time to show some appreciation.

Now I really hope my advice on getting him to go "downtown" works, because you deserve a seriously long session. Since I can't be there to do it, hopefully he can be directed to.

BTW: feel free to PM me anytime. I really like the way you think.

WOW, Predator, you have a real sense of insight. I think I'm in love.(don't tell my wife).

Yeah. It's very nice seeing a list of why women love men. All too often (and I'll admit I'm a card-carrying cynic) I get wrapped up in the anti-male propaganda of why men are scum and why women rule. And for the most part, I tend to agree.

As I posted in another thread, I believe that's probably the key psychological reason for my crossdressing fetish that I play around with every so and then - You can ask a man what he finds sexy about women, and he'll tell you exactly, and site examples. Ask a woman, and she'll give you some wishy-washy "well, this one guy I liked this one thing about, and this other guy I liked this completely different thing about... oh, I dunno. I just like guys, I guess. It's tough to describe." It gets tiresome for men - what in the hell pleases you women!?! "Oh, you should just know!" No.... in fact, we shouldn't. Tell us, or we can't be expected to please you.

It's because of all this confusion that I simply cannot identify any form of attractiveness or sexuality to masculinity. I will admit - I'm VERY confused on how to be a sexy man. The only 'sexy' I can think of is women. So, when I want to feel sexy, that's what I aspire for. I'm very straight (not homophobic, just decidedly pro-woman) but I love feeling like a woman every so and then to feel sexy.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, Thank you, Predatorsmile, for posting a difinitive list of things that many women find sexy in men. It's nice to hear it from at least one of you after all of these years. This list may well help me discover my niglected masculine side.

Don't bug out over the cooking. I can't cook either, and neither can MANY women I've known. I went to a lesbian engagement party...where one of the girls served up her own dish....I ate it out of politeness....and threw up 10 minutes later in the bathroom. Yuck ! To this day, I hate macaroni....how can you screw up macaroni ? It's so simple ! Well, she did !

original?

Pred- did you make that list up or find it someplace? in any event, what is your favorite one?

I liked the list too. I will be completely and totally honest here. I don't understand why women like men. I just can't relate to men...I can relate to women. I don't "get" men. So it was very nice to get some insight into why most women are straight!

That said, I am totally against the "men are scum" philosophy, because SOME men are scum - but not all. It's not fair to paint with such a broad brush.

Wouldn't that be called "masculine mystique"?

In many ways I don't "get" men either. For instance, it seems that a lot of guys do believe in total allegiance to a country or a social group (school frat, church, gang, team, etc). They are willing to do just about anything for the group to show loyalty, and they have no problem condeming fellow members that betray the group or come from a different group. Yet on the other hand some of those same guys have no problem cheating on their partner.

I would think that any of these "groups" are just an extension of a family unit. So it seems to me that their attitude is that at the micro level it is ok to cheat, but on the macro level it is reprehensible. It never made sense to me.

I also tend to think a lot in my head. Most guys do that, but not about feelings. For instance if somebody upsets me, I'll subconsciously find myself rehersing scenerios to either get my anger off on them (immature) or working with them to overcome whatever is bugging me (mature). I don't think most guys do this. They just let it go with the flow and not clutter their minds with "what if's" as it relates to people interactions.

I also never understood why wanting to be a parent was not a big deal with guys. On the other hand, some of the same people who never desired kids are great with kids and become great parents IF it happens. Still they didn't ever have the yearning, and if kids never enter the picture it is no big loss.

For me, I always wanted to sire kids -- the progenity thing. Not because I have designer genes, but just how my grandma always told stories about herself * siblings, her parents, her grandparents. Also she had things that belonged to them. I always wanted to share those stories and possessions with kids of my own.

So I guess that though I'm a guy myself I don't understand most other guys. Sure I go crazy about those with muscular, hairy bodies and hot asses. On the emotional/intellectual level I see them as puzzles to solve. I have nothing against women. I wasn't big on sex with women becuause I really didn't see much of a mystery there. Sex with a woman would be like having sex with your sister or mother. Forget the "incest" component, and think of it as sex with someone just TOO familiar.

Finally, I would add that the older I get the more I realize that many of the ideas I have about men vs women are too generalized. We are all so different, and yet the same. Thus to take the billions of people in the world and say at the basic level we can divide them this way or that way (such as gender), does a disservice. We run the gamut. I think that is why people like gays, lesbians, etc can have uncomfortable lives is because of this generalization. Men should be in this one mold and women as this other -- the twain will never meet. Thus if a person isn't quite following the mold, they get rejected. That is why I just try to get to know people and TRY to not to make a molde in my head that they must fit into.

I think you are discoving an important part of a satisfying life. I have and have had friends who are straight, gay, lesbian and bi, and all of them had opinions and insights which led me to understanding both them and myself. No longer do I "worry" about the opinions of others. Only my friends and family count in that aspect, and if I meet another to welcome into my circle of friends, I am estatic. If we don't become friends, I can only hope I learned something from the other person.

Ah, come on. There's got to be more to it than that. Personality ? Smile ? Reliability ?

Personally i agree with most of the things on your list ;)
Plus the fact that when a guy tries to hide his feelings so much is so sweet..
And weirdly enough that one about the hug is SO true?..We're the ultimate huggers! :D

Just joking PS. Being good friends only adds to the enjoyment.

I know. I just wanted you guys to know that even though the bashers run their mouths every day, some of us love you. I'm thankful for the influence of the men in my life. From my father and brothers to my gay male friends and my boyfriend. I'm lucky. You are appreciated, by some at least.

Thank you. You have brightened my day, and I'm sure that of many others.

I like your list. I have a loving and caring husband, he takes care of my every need, physical, sexual, and emotional.
I wish I could agree with you on my brothers and dad, but I can't.
