Given all the great things (TANG!) to have come out of the space program, many of them now mainstays in the american and world lifestyles, I think it's very important. On top of that, i think we need another supergoal, like when Kennedy said by the end of the decade, we will put a man on the moon. world technology jumped when that started. incredible things came out of the space race. granted, it was a child of the cold war, but can't we just do something good for the sake of scientific and cultural advancement?
