was binging YouTube when I got onto a channel that recaps and riffs on reality tv episodes.

Gave me an idea: take a reality tv show but with the twist that the hosts can warp reality and even change people. One of the big things I thought of was confessional scenes where the MC is getting increasingly scared as they realize something isn’t right.

For example: Wife Swap parody. The show normally has the wives do things the way the first wife said in their own journal then the next week the wives get to make the rules

Except in this show, the rules include sex and unlike the real show, the rules must be obeyed

Or: renovation/rescue show. Hosts have bold ideas for how to fix a place and the ideas always work financially…no matter how strange.

“See your restaurant has no personality. I can get what you have anywhere. But when I hear farm to table: I think cows. So I’d like to introduce my new idea: the Milk Bar. A Hucow run and operated family business that revels in the sex appeal of your udders”

MC and their family look down and find they have all been transformed into hucows in miniskirts

An x-rated Undercover Boss might find the boss getting sexually harassed, and in this reality-warp world enjoying it.

Come to think of it, Extreme Makeover could be really extreme if it included reality warping.

Alternatively a white married couple who are having fertility problems who have the wife sign a contract to participate in a contest filmed over a weekend where its not revealed the winner bred the wife to the husband and the world until she’s already six months pregnant, then the show airs after the baby is born and revealed all the contestants were black.

I have a firm hatred for Reallity TV but I love your idea here. The wife, must have sex with her temporary husband on camera at least once. It would be entertainment value if they hit it off or it was an epic fail.
