which do you prefer the real or non-real av's


and would you ever use your real face/body part as an av ?

I'd never use a real pic av. They just don't work for me, besides I'm too paranoid about showing off my equipment. Yes, they're all safely registered and background checked, but why should anyone see what sort of heat I'm actually packing?

I like my av because it suits me. You can skim through a bunch of stuff and you'll always know KM's stuff, because KM has that mostly naked broad's ass and a pink gun next to it.

Since I have the av feature personally turned off, it makes no difference to me what all ya'll do.

I've used both childhood pic and an adult pic as my av. Does anyone even remember what I look like? I doubt it very seriously. If anyone wants to use their own mug (like Asendin or Ruby) I'd say go for it. People are nicer to you when you show your face.

I'm pretty much with everyone else, I like all the av's. I think that even if it isn't a 'real' one it still represents a part of themselves. There is a reason we pick the av's we do.

The av I have now is the real me. I like it for the time being, when I come across another pic or av that calls out to me, I'll change it.

I have one of my face, but I am not quite ready to show that. I have some pictures of parts of me, but I am not happy with those either and I have problems making them small enough for AVs

I found the one I am using and the name of it seemed to fit me, so I chose it, got some help to fix it to the right size<thanks Mae and Weatherer2> and will used this one until I tire of it.

I'm not shy about having my face seen here, but I don't use it for my avatar. Why bother you ask?

The answer in my case, is that the dirty old man doll pictured in my avatar was a birthday gift from my daughters -- it's their image of me and it's cuter than I am. It's a caracature of me that suits this particular venue better than a picture of me does.

I like all the AV's. When a person uses a pic of themselves that shows you what the person looks like. When a person uses another it shows you a little of who that person is. All the AV's become a representation of a given individual. A picture speaks a thousand words. Anyhow I am already working on AV for myself. I'm slow enough on posting that I still have some time to think over what I want though. I at first had planned to find a pic online that I liked, but we bought a web cam the other day so now we are playing with that. I'm having boyfriend alter pics of me and I'll probably use one of them., but who knows.

Only if I couldn't be identified by the av. I can only think of one body part that people might possibly like to see as my av, and that is not going to happen.

I tend to agree. A generic avatar shows presonality and character. I like both a lot but find Av's of the actually person (even if it is body parts) more interesting.

A thought for all you shy people: A body part doesn't have to be sexual or reveal your face. It could be an arm, hand leg, toe?? haha or maybe a tatt??
