Anyone wanna discuss books they love? Are currently reading?
I recently reread Don DeLillo's Libra, a novel surrounding the Kennedy assassination, and it was just as much a whirlwind as the first time. So many facts mixed in the fiction, that is if the fiction parts really are that and the 'facts' are that as well... DeLillo is so great at literary paranoia, love that guy!

If you had any actual value to the GB and participated in good faith, you would already realize that there are frequent discussions and entire threads dedicated to the love of reading.

The sexy librarian trope is much more valued here than your predatory, legal (but just) gay stroke stories that you relentlessly pimp to a disinterested audience. Just yesterday Aglo was receiving comments about affecting the look and the lovely Yossarian librarian is as cherished for her bookish nature as her looks.

The original poster was yearning for book reports and inquired about actual books, not the stroke stories you were shamelessly steering him towards with your irrelevant post and garish sigline.

You know, books? Like the ones you claimed to be an offsite editor of, when not making outrageous claims of being an ex-spy or stealing the valor of the the vanguard of pilots who have soared in our rarest of planes.

The author's hangout is not any more likely a place to discuss books than the General Board, but is an excellent suggestion as to where you should fuck off to, if you hadn't made yourself as much of a cartoon and a pariah there as here.

Perhaps you should just fuck off to parts unknown, you pretentious, posturing poser.

Welcome newbie.


I've just finished rereading green mile by stephen king.

I read it when it first came out and knew I would read it again and it was just as good as the first time. I cried, laughed, become absorbed and it was a great book for me from beginning to end.


It wasn't what I was expecting since I had read some of his horror stories/books when I first read it and to be honest it is still one of my favourites he has penned.

For me the movie was not a disappointment either.

I read The Green Mile back when it first came out in installments, one each month, I believe in 1995 or 1996, way back in my middle school days. One of his best, and I do remember the movie being good as well. I read once that if there is someone best-suited to adaptations of Stephen King works in prison settings, it's gotta be Frank Darabont, lol!
